Calling all people of the bar: after somewhat of an absence it's that banner challenge voting time again! Our banner makers were challenged to make a maximum of two banners from three categories, as long as each banner was for a different category. Their options this time were shades of grey, scenery, and creator's choice. They've made us the wonderful, now here's where you come in: we need you to vote for the next THREE MONTHS' BANNERS.

Vote by commenting with your favourite three in order of preference. Your first choice will be assigned three points, your second two points, and your third choice one point. The three banners with the most points will be our banners for April, May, and June. Any questions, just shout :) Otherwise, it's on to the pretties:

VOTING DEADLINE: 5pm GMT Tuesday 1st April

18 December 2013 @ 11:45 pm
“But now that I’ve submitted my Secret Santa gift what on earth do I do whilst waiting for them to start posting?” I hear you ask. Well one of things you can do is head on over to our Banner Challenge 2013 Review Post and (pretty please) let us know what you’d like to see (if anything) next year. And you can be voting on what banner you’d like to see to start 2014:

Theme: second chances, or making a different call

Here be a post of all the banners from 2013’s challenge that didn’t get to be at the top of our community, and now you get to choose one to kick off 2014 – a reminder of how good the last year has been as we move forward into the next :)

How To Vote: Choose three banners and list them in order. Your first choice will get 3 points, your second two points, and your third 1 points. The banner with the most points will be our new banner!

If you have problems uploading this post as too image heavy, feel free to go to the banner challenge 2013 tag and then just comment to this post with Banner NUMBER from MONTH instead for each of your three choices.

Voting Deadline: Midnight (your own timezone - you can't miss it!) 31st December

You might remember who made some of these (or all of them if you have a really good memory, or look back at this year’s banner challenge) but I’m going to let you wonder and add their creators’ names after voting has finished. Huge amounts of thanks and praise to everyone who’s taken part – you made a hell of a lot of pretties!

Huge thanks and free drinks at the bar to this months banner makers, who saved us, in extra time, from a month of no banner challenge entries! Because the challenge was extended there's not much time to vote this month - the deadline for voting is Midnight GMT Saturday 31st August. The theme this time was peace or peaceful, to tie in with the International Day of Peace in September:

It's that time again, folks: time to vote for next month's community banner! We have three fun entries for April's theme of 'foolish' in honor of April Fool's Day - we asked for the crack, the crazy, the daft, the silly, the fun, and the bizarre, and we got it. The deadline for voting is Midnight GMT on Sunday 31st March. Remember, everyone can vote (and please do!) but only one vote per person.

Hi all! It’s time to choose which banner you’d like to see gracing the top of our community for next month. We’ve had eight entries for February’s theme of ‘love’ and I’ve had longer to look at them than the rest of you and I still can’t decide between them! But a choice is just gonna have to be made. We have until Midnight GMT on Thursday 31st January to place our votes. Everyone can vote, including banner makers, but only one vote per person.

y'know how there's been much lamentation over not getting a black widow movie in phase 2 of marvel's MCU? i figure one way we, as fans, can lay the groundwork for that is by voting for johannson in the people's choice awards. part of the spiel they float for these movies is that they went with fan favourites (even though we know a lot of that is bullshit cos it mostly has to do with who holds the rights and other hollywood business shenanigans. and, if that's the case, then why is there no current black widow title anywhere in the marvel publishing house? she's the only one out of the cast of the avengers movie that doesn't have her own current book.) anyway, our voice could be heard if we vote the crap out of The Face of Heroism category. it couldn't hurt.

PCA online voting

for twitter votes (make sure the account is public so the vote counts): Scarlett Johansson #faceofheroism #peopleschoice

remember, the limit does not exist.

Okay, serious point now guys. I need answers. Does anybody in America ever use the term 'hoofers' when describing feet?

Actually, I'd be interested to know if anyone other than me ever uses that term.

Guys.

GUYS.

WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING? THIS IS AN IMPORTANT PLOT POINT IN MY NEXT FIC!

And, if not, I need a derogatory term for feet commonly used in America. Okay? Thanks. :D

(Posting on b_c too because it's totally relevant, and, as [livejournal.com profile] im_ridiculous said, I need a more legitimate sample size for my survey. WISE WORDS.)
