Characters: Natasha Romanoff

Word count: 1,920

Rating: PG

Warnings: mention of character death, no other warnings that I'm aware of.

Summary: Winter of 1988, in the midst of the collapsing Soviet Union, a four-year-old, red-haired girl dies in a house fire with the rest of her family. Eighteen years later, Natasha Romanoff visits the grave. The brief first life of Nataliya Romanova.

Author's Note: I've been sitting on this story half-fished for a while and, as I haven't been very active in the fandom lately, I figured it was about time I just got the thing on paper and shoved it out into the world to see whether or not it can fend for itself.

Warnings: Hurt/Comfort, Abduction, Torture, Aftermath of Torture, Non-Consensual Touching, Threatened Sexual Violence, Flogging, Electric Burns
Word Count: 6552

Word Count: 14k
Summary: Natasha's been anxious to try this out a better way, with less desperation and uncertainty and worry. Less of the whispered voice in the back of her head telling her that she's reveling in hurting the man she loves and shouldn't be allowed near him ever again.

Stumbling into kink, assassins style: not quite a conclusion.

Title:  Angel of Mercy, Angel of Death
Author: alphaflyer
Rating:  T
Warnings:  war time violence

Summary: Clint Barton turns up in a refugee camp that is under attack -- but is he the answer to a prayer, or a just another nightmare? An aid worker's perspective.

Author's note: Sometimes it bears remembering what “master assassins” actually do for a living, and why the MCU goes to some pains to show us that being saved by the Avengers can be a distinctly mixed blessing. Inspired by the lyrics of Angel of Death, by HoneyHoney.

A companion piece, of sorts, to in "In the Service".

It was supposed to take everyone. But it didn’t, because the world was already stranger than usual before ‘it’ tried to make it stranger still.

Title: 2am thoughts
Pairings: Clint Barton/Natasha Romanov,spoilers )
Rating: G
Word Count: approx. 2,200
Summary: The kind of late night regrets and early morning thoughts you have about the love that swept you off your feet, the love that you gave up in favor of something more stable, the love that you'll never get back, for better or for worse, because you can be whole and satisfied and happy and still wonder what if, what if, what if.
Warnings: mostly just the second-person narration? also minor spoilery things concerning Age of Ultron with regards to shippy things based on trailers/speculation floating around

( “We’ll always have Budapest,” you remember her saying even years after everything else is gone. )
Title:  "Rain on the Scarecrow"
Author: [livejournal.com profile] alphaflyer
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: None, but possible spoilers for Age of Ultron (based solely on the trailers, and speculation)
Characters: Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton, Thor, Bruce Banner, Steve Rogers, Tony Stark, Pietro Maximoff, Wanda Maximoff, spoiler character )

Summary: When the Avengers need a break, Hawkeye takes them in. (A/U, canon divergence)

A/N: I haven’t seen Age of Ultron yet, so tagging this as containing “AOU spoilers” is perhaps a bit of a stretch. But I’ve seen the trailers and read some of the speculation, especially about “That Farm” and the people on it -- it is those things that inspired this tale. So if you want to remain completely unspoiled for anything you might see, do not read this story until you have seen the film (and then snicker at how far off I was!).

The title is taken from John Mellencamp’s eponymous song; [livejournal.com profile] spyforaday may not even remember suggesting it to me as a “Clint-type of song" but she did, so this story is for her. Infinite thanks are due to my BFF Runawaymetaphor and to [livejournal.com profile] geckoholic, who made this much better than it started out.'

The first thing Natasha notices is the change in the light; the second is the absence of sound, once the noise of their arrival has settled.

Summary: We all know Clint Barton. That Avenger who always has something funny to say, and who never misses a clue. Hawkeye, they call him. And for good reason. But, what we don't know is where he came from, how he became the marksman he is today. Where did it start? How did it happen? Who were the people who made him who he is?

the author wrote this for nanowrimo this year, and it's a really interesting take on Clint's formative years as seen through the eyes of the people around him
