Title: So The Lines Are Lost
Rating: R
Pairing/Characters: Clint, Maria, Natasha
Warnings: Hurt/Comfort, Abduction, Torture, Aftermath of Torture, Non-Consensual Touching, Threatened Sexual Violence, Flogging, Electric Burns
Word Count: 6552
Summary: Any other day, Clint would have been able to take him out in fifteen seconds flat, he's pretty sure, but not when he's drunk to the gills and gravity keeps slipping from his command. He does his level best. It's not enough.

Title:  Angel of Mercy, Angel of Death
Author: alphaflyer
Rating:  T
Warnings:  war time violence

Summary: Clint Barton turns up in a refugee camp that is under attack -- but is he the answer to a prayer, or a just another nightmare? An aid worker's perspective.

Author's note: Sometimes it bears remembering what “master assassins” actually do for a living, and why the MCU goes to some pains to show us that being saved by the Avengers can be a distinctly mixed blessing. Inspired by the lyrics of Angel of Death, by HoneyHoney.

A companion piece, of sorts, to in "In the Service".

Title: wound you up like i tied a bow
Author: [livejournal.com profile] findthesea
Remix Recipient: [livejournal.com profile] _samalander
Pairing(s):  Clint/Natasha
Rating: NC-17/Explicit
Warnings: BDSM, knife play, sexual content, language - please see additional notes/warnings at beginning of fic
A/N: I had the general framework for this story bouncing around in my head for a few months, but never got around to putting it together - so perhaps it was serendipitous that fate (or the mods) offered me a chance to have this particular idea line up nicely with something that my recipient had already written. In short, I got to write the fic I wanted to write, and remix a fic I really liked when I first read it...so I consider this a win/win. And I'd apologize about the length, which got away from me the more times that I edited, but I can't imagine you all will mind. :)
Fic I've Chosen To Remix: Faith and Numbers
Summary: “You’re going to have to be convincing,” Fury says, and it’s not until later, when they’re completely alone and it’s all setting in, that Clint understands what his boss means by convincing.

The biggest of thanks to [livejournal.com profile] enigma731 for beta, cheerleading, edits, and your tireless support that included telling me yes, shut up, don't worry at least five times a day for about three weeks. I don't know what I would do without you. <3

Title: featherstep
Author: [livejournal.com profile] _samalander
Remix Recipient: [livejournal.com profile] franztastisch
Pairing(s): Clint&Natasha friendship
Rating: R
Warnings: Violence, including animal death. (Please see end of fic for specific warnings.)
Author's Note: I've loved Franzi's work for a long time, so I was super excited to get to work on her stuff for remix. It was hard to choose the story to remix, but on a walk one day, I started thinking about Natasha's affinity for languages, and what it might mean if she could communicate with Clint on another level. And it grew from there.
Fic I've Chosen To Remix: طائر غريب (Strange Bird)
Summary: Natasha has always heard the voices of the animals around her, but when a bird tells her to trust the strange man pointing an arrow at her head, she does.

( She grew up hearing their songs. )

Title: To Cage a Spider
Author: scribble_myname
Pairing/Characters: Clint/Natasha
Word Count: 1317
Rating: Teen+
Warnings: Canon-Typical Violence, Off-Screen Torture/Abuse
Author’s Notes: Ambiguous 'verse. Inspired by the comics and movies and a whole lot of AU fanfic reading.
Summary: They haven’t really exchanged names. He’s Hawkeye and making a name for himself as a vigilante stopping robberies and underground lowlifes. She figures out quickly that is because he grew up among them and knows how and where they operate. She is… without a name. Nothing feels right to give him because whatever this is when they brush into each other, it’s genuine, and nothing about Natasha or Natalia or the Black Widow is genuine.

rating: pg
characters: Clint Barton, Natasha Romanoff
warnings: torture
author's note: For hayleycreagine, who asked for an AU where "Natasha is still with the Red Room and Clint is brought in (unwillingly) for the girls to train with."

summary: She is an assassin, a killer, a dancer in the Red Room's hands - and she owes a debt to a marksman she has never met. Until today.

He is American, alone, trained to resist and prepared to hold out and almost broken by the time he is at her feet, held up only by the restraints that bind him to the chair.

Warnings: Subtly implied mentions of sexual content, knife play, emotional trauma. Basically, dark!fic all around.

ever dissever my soul
rating: pg
characters: Clint Barton/Natasha Romanoff
warnings: injuries, past major character death

author's note: This was meant to be part of a longer piece and never quite got that far, but I feel it stands alone well enough as it is. So here you go! The title is from Annabel Lee by Edgar Allen Poe.

summary: You don’t have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body. - C.S. Lewis. (He constructs the truth of her, when the rendering algorithms fail to find the heart of Natasha Romanoff, from the history written in her skin.)

The cut on her finger from slicing apples, how it bled as red as the curling peels and she laughed, leaving the knife on the cutting board to take his hand and dance on the tacky white linoleum of the kitchen.

TITLE: Let the Morning Come

AUTHORS: [livejournal.com profile] enigma731 & [livejournal.com profile] _samalander

PAIRING: Clint Barton/Natasha Romanoff

RATING: Explicit

WORD COUNT: ~5600

WARNINGS: sex, BDSM, blood, (consensual) cutting

SUMMARY: “I want you to make me yours,” says Clint, watching her twirl the knife in her fingers with a deftness that makes his skin bristle with hot desire. “Because then he can’t have me.” A sequel to With an Ocean in the Way.

It’s after midnight when Clint makes it to Natasha's door, the small package in his hand making his palm itch. It's hot outside, a New York summer night, but he feels chilled by the echoes of his nightmare still throwing him off balance.

Title: Blind hand of god
Fandom: Avengers/MCU
Pairing: Clint/Natasha, established and hinted at
Characters: Clint Barton, Natasha Romanoff
Rating: pg-13
Genre: character study, introspection
Warnings: dark themes (assassin being an assassin and having thoughts about it)
Disclaimer: not mine, and I'm not getting anything out of this, but my own fun.

Author's notes: written for [livejournal.com profile] alphaflyer as a part of the trick-or-treat meme. Partially inspired by various Terry Pratchett Discworld quotes. This one is bit out of my comfort zone, so I hope I did well.

enough to go by
rating: pg-13
characters: Clint Barton/Natasha Romanoff
warnings: self harm (emotional and physical), underlying mental issues
author’s note: Title from Enough to Go By by Vienna Teng. Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] cybermathwitch for being a wonderful beta! :)

summary: All he needs is smoke to hide the mirrors, a smoke to ease his mind.

Clint picks up the habit in the aftermath of New York, the rush of nicotine nothing compared to the steadiness of his hands as he pulls out the first cigarette, cups it against the fall wind and breathes life into it.

slip the jesses
rating: PG
characters: Clint Barton/Natasha Romanoff
warnings: mentions of violence
summary: I promise you nothing, I take only that which is free / I'd give you a life full of risk, and the whirlwind of joy that can be / Don't try to bind me, just love me without any greed / And I'll give you the world, and my heart, and the air that I breathe. author's note: Title and summary from Hunter by Heather Dale, the inspiration behind this story.

Holy crap I haven't been around in awhile. I've been working on my two novels that I want to query to lit agents this fall, and it's hard for me to write fic and original fic at the same time. Brain cannot handle all the things.

I'm going to be going through and reading and catching up, so sorry for the incoming comment spam that's about to happen.

Here's what I've been working on, fanfic wise! Thanks!

Title: Home is a Fire (completed at 17/17. Link goes to AO3, Chapter One)
Fandom: The Avengers (2012)
Pairing: Clint/Natasha; Tony/Pepper; hinted Bruce/Darcy; original female character/original male character
Rating: M
Characters: Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton, Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, Darcy Lewis, Steve Rogers, Original Female Character (Emily Neal), Original Male Character (Jem), Original Female Character (Lana)
Warnings: One chapter is for sure NSFW, but that's later on. Mostly language, hints at past noncon-sex.
Summary: Clint's adult-aged daughter comes to work for the Avengers; Natasha takes a mission with poor risk assessment on getting out alive; angst, feels, and warm fuzzy feelings.
Author's Note: This is in my alternate head canon based on a previous fic See Something, Say Something that comes from someone else's fic The Observable Universe. In my headcanon, Clint had a kid when he was young and stupid, and she's still in his life. All the feels.

Title: Love Is The Art of Disappearing (complete at 9/9, link opens up Ch 1 at Ao3)
Fandom: The Avengers (2012)
**Alternate Universe: Magic**
Character Pairings: past Clint Barton/Natasha Romanov
Characters: Clint Barton, Natasha Romanov, Phil Coulson, a host of original characters
Warnings: violence, foul and violent language between characters
Summary: After a mission went wrong a year ago, revealing Natasha's most closely held secret, she and Clint are forced to work together on a crucial mission. Can they put the past behind them and use Natasha's gift, even when it puts them at risk?
Author's Note: I have no idea where this came from but you know...sometimes my brain wants it certain characters to have magic apparently?

Title: Highway of Diamonds - Chapter 6

Rating: M
Characters/Pairings: Clint/Natasha
Disclaimer: All I own of Marvel is a handful of comics and my Hawkeye action figure.
Warnings: Disturbing themes, including sexual exploitation and non-con; swearing.  Additional warnings in Chapter 3.
Summary: Natasha and Clint are investigating a secretive cult, and find a disturbing reality.
Author's Note: The end of a long and not always easy road.  I hope I won't be tempted to go this dark again.

Warnings: Disturbing themes, including sexual exploitation and non-con; swearing and in this chapter, violence.
Summary: Natasha and Clint are investigating a secretive cult, and find a disturbing reality.

Rating: Mature
Warnings: I choose not to warn, but if anyone wants to know about triggers or has questions about the content, feel free to PM me.

Author's Note: I wanted to play around with some alternate backstory ideas, and this is the result: an alternate universe where Clint and Natasha are freelance assassins rather than working for S.H.I.E.L.D. Thanks to enigma731 for the beta and the amazing graphic!

Summary: If violence is her art, then he is her muse. Together they are unstoppable.
