Title: By the Book
Characters: Clint Barton, Kate Bishop, Natasha Romanoff, Tony Stark, Lucky the Pizza Dog, Jessica Dawson (Background), Bobbi Morse (Background)
Relationships: Clint Barton/Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton & Kate Bishop
Length: app 8,400 words
Summary: Clint Barton's love life isn't just a car crash, it's a multi-vehicle pile-up. Kate decides to lend a hand.

Author's Note: This story was initially written for a Hawkeye Bang, from which I had to withdraw when I got sucked into an RL vortex. The piece draws most of its inspiration from the Matt Fraction Hawkeye run (without being slavishly canon compliant), with a dash of Avengers Assemble #5 and a hint at events from the MCU. A mash-up, really, but that’s what fanfic is for, right?

Thanks to my beloved beta, [livejournal.com profile] jrbarton. I added a few bits after she was done, so any glitches are mine. A belated birthday present for [livejournal.com profile] geckoholic.

Title: Don't Stop Me Now
Rating: PG-13
Pairings: Clint/Natasha, Steve/Peggy
Wordcount: 3625
Warnings: none
Beta: The wonderful [livejournal.com profile] geckoholic.
Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] avengersfest for a prompt that basically boiled down to "Steve and fluff". Steve and fluff are not natural bedmates in my head, so I threw is a heavy dose of Clint/Natasha and out came a Uni AU.

After three years of rooming with Steve Rogers, Clint has discovered that the best thing about him is how he is absolutely, pathologically, unable to turn down a dare.

Wherein Clint and all his friends take to meddling in Steve's love life because they're terrible people.

The best thing I read for April Fools on the 1st this week was that The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum put Wonder Woman’s invisible jet on display. That’s just A+ for effort. My hat is off. Not that I usually wear a hat. (Also article on Mary Sue.) The Verge’s 11 best April Fools’ gags of 2015 is also worth a glance – selfie stick madness, plausible technhology, and PAC-MAN on Google Maps!

So let’s continue smiling into the weekend with an all the things amusing Friday!

Tell us the best April Fools’ pranks and jokes you know of, and any you’ve pulled off. Share your thinky thoughts on Clint and Natasha when it comes to pranks and their sense of humour. Rec fics with pranks and hilarity. Rec all the amusing things!

Let’s have a laugh :D

Things to remember:
1) Always label NSFW (Not Safe For Work) stuff in the title and post under a cut.
2) Fic and artwork needs to have a rating and warnings (or you can say that you’ve chosen not to use warnings).
3) For people with annoying internet connections, say in the title if a comment is graphic/images/gif-heavy and post picspams under a cut.
4) Have a damn good time! (Because if that’s not happening then this post has clearly failed.)

Rating: General Audiences
Pairing: Clint Barton & Natasha Romanoff; gen
Warnings: None
Summary: Clint has more than a few concerns about Tony's new Avengers themepark. Trouble is, no one wants to hear them from the focus group's "least marketable Avenger." Looks like he'll just have to investigate for himself. As usual.

In the beginning, the idea is Tony’s. And of course it is -- Nobody else would be capable of coming up with such a spectacularly crazy and yet also somehow ingenious endeavor.

Well, back up. That isn’t exactly right. Really the idea begins with Steve, on the day he comes in to his own weekly briefing meeting looking uncharacteristically forlorn. Clint notices--was aware even before Steve’s entrance that something is off because today Steve is late, and that never happens short of an actual global catastrophe. He doesn’t say anything, though, because it doesn’t seem like any of his business.

“What’s wrong, Stars-and-Stripes?” asks Tony, who apparently does not have any of the same reservations. He leans back in his chair and props his feet on the edge of the table, which earns a look of mild disgust from Natasha. “Shield get a scratch?”

3.  The Joys of Flying Darcy Lewis, Eliot Randolph, Thor

Title: 5 Times Someone Tried to Interfere in Clint & Natasha’s Relationship and the 1 Time It Worked
A Gift For: [livejournal.com profile] alphaflyer
Rating: PG
Warnings: the overall tone is light, but Alzheimer’s is addressed in a serious manner
Summary/Prompt Used: The summary is covered fairly well in the title. :-) I tried to touch on as many of the prompt choices as possible (fun challenge!) The ones I used are below:
1. Maria Hill always thought Barton and Romanov had psychopathic tendencies. Otherwise, how could they do what they did? But then ...
3. Tony and Pepper are happy(ish). They want Clint and Natasha to be happy(ish), too.
4. Steve visits Peggy in the hospice. Natasha decides to go with him -- and figures out something in the process.
5. Anything that makes you happy and contains a bit of banter or snark, will make me happy too.
Yes please: … outsider POV, 5 +1, assumptions proven wrong … team!fic …
Author's Note: I hope you like it. I definitely wrote it with you in mind. :-)

Title: Silver Bells
A Gift For: [livejournal.com profile] ellavescent
Rating:PG-13
Warnings:some swearing, mild sexual references, movie-level violence
Summary/Prompts Used: So you think that taking a baby on a mission to capture a kidnapping gang is nothing short of lunacy? Clint and Natasha couldn't agree more. Yet here they are, trapped in suburbia with a miniature civilian in tow, just days before Christmas -- theirs is not exactly a wonderful life. Or is it?
Based on the following prompts: Baby!fic -- something different from the idea that a baby is a spanner in the works for Clint and Natasha; Natasha falls for Clint first; and Domesticity -- perhaps they fell into it without meaning to? Oh, and anything relating to the holidays.
Author's Note:I’m not sure that this is entirely what you expected, Ella (may I call you Ella?) but I’m wired a certain way and … well, we are who we are, for better or worse, and my mind is a steel pretzel.
Thanks to the world's most wonderful beta, Shenshen77, and to those of you who patted me on the head when I wailed Baby!fic??? I can't do Baby!fic!!!!!

Title: Time's Arrow
Rating: PG13 (for some swearing)
Warnings: off-screen death of an OC's spouse mentioned;
Characters/Pairing: Clint/Natasha, Tony/Pepper, Thor/Jane - Clint, Tony, Natasha, Steve, Bruce, Darcy, Pepper, Erik Selvig, Thor, Jane, Henry V (yes, that Henry V)
Tags: Adventure, Humour, time travel, a bit of Steve melancholia, a lot of Clint & Tony; Natasha & Team

This was part of the Avengersfest exchange, so has been up on AO3 for over a month under "Anonymous".  Written for Jadesfire. Something completely different for me -- my muse telling me that I really should try some magic stuff for once.  (Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] frea_o!)

Summary: Clint looks down into the valley. The low afternoon light glints off the metal armour worn by the men on horses; the majority of the leather-clad foot soldiers are carrying long bows: Ironman and Hawkeye, times a few hundred or thousand, in the original version and most definitely unplugged.

“I don’t think it’s a question of where we are, but when we are.”

Title: What a Pear
Fandom: MCU, with extra Kate Bishop!
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Pairings: Clint/Natasha, Steve/Maria
Word Count: 1092
Summary: “I thought you were supposed to ask ‘What did those pears ever do to you?’ That’s your usual refrain.”

Author’s Notes: This is [livejournal.com profile] sugar_fey’s fault. She bribed me with chocolate chip cookies and puppies. This is a sequel to Hyperfocal Distance, but all you need to know is that Clint is a photojournalist, Natasha is an investigative journalist, Kate is Clint’s ex-intern, Darcy writes an advice column, Steve’s a war correspondent, and Maria is their editor. Also, Clint hates Maria’s apartment.

Title: untitled
Rating: PG13 for language
Word Count: 1200-ish
Warnings: None. I think it's pretty safe.
Disclaimer: Yes, the characters are mine. All mine. I made them up 50 years before I was born (I'm magical that way). In fact, I demand royalties from Marvel. Pay me now or suffer the wrath of the lawyers I'm financing through the money in my change jar. Don't laugh, I might have a whole $20 in quarters. (I'm totally kidding, please don't sue me. Except for the $20 in change part. That might be real)
Summary: Very, very mild crack!fic from the mind of someone who hasn't written a fic for a while.
Author's note: Attempted humour. You have been warned. And thanks to the lovely shenshen77 for her beta work.

Title: Some nights
Fandom: The Avengers 2012, Iron Man 3 (MCU)
Characters: Tony Stark, Clint Barton, Natasha Romanoff
Pairing: Clint/Natasha and implied Tony/Pepper
Genre: drama, introspection, romance. Tony and Clint friendship.
Rating: PG – 13
Spoilers: for Iron Man 3
Warnings: vague mentions of PTSD, panic attacks and other post – traumatic symptoms. Unbeta'd for now.

Summary: Tony and Clint are fixing things (well, a car), shortly after events of IM3.

“I make things. Or... fix things,” he said and nodded towards the car, then looked at Clint. “That's harder than being inside the suit,” he said, looking straight ahead again. “Because fixing something is a risk. It can work out, or it can fail.”

Disclaimer: they belong to Marvel, and my heart belongs to them. The title and quoted lyrics belong to Fun.

Author's notes: written really quickly in honor of [livejournal.com profile] anna_sg1's birthday; and filled with general Supernatural references. BECAUSE OF REASONS. (Also, I hope I didn't commit fail there!) Bear in mind that I don't know how to fix cars, so I hope I didn't mess this up when it comes to car fixing part. (I did consult my husband who has a clue or two). Also, there's a small, tiny reference to Captain America 2, and it concerns something in Natasha's possession. If you're on tumblr, you probably ran across that detail. (How that object came to be in Natasha's possession is purely my imagination.)
