TITLE: Right Between the Eyes
PAIRING: (gen) Natasha Romanoff & Peggy Carter, Peggy Carter & Dottie Underwood, Clint Barton & Natasha Romanoff

TITLE: Red Eye
PAIRING: Clint/Natasha (although this is more early partnership/friendship than romance)
SUMMARY: Newly-partnered agents Barton and Romanoff are sent undercover to investigate an allegation of fraud at the county fair.

The mission is a joke.

Well, more of a test than a joke, or at least Clint is pretty sure that’s the point. It could also be a punishment, he supposes, but regardless of what it is, he’s annoyed.

The person of interest is a middle-aged man named Mark Yazbeck whose sun-wrinkled skin reminds Clint of a crumpled up piece of paper. He’s the current owner of Yazbeck Amusements, a traveling carnival and midway company. A carny, as far as the public is concerned, but Clint can’t help viewing the commercialized rides, games, and food carts as something less than the authenticity he remembers from his own days with the circus. Regardless, Yazbeck and his show have become the latest suspects in a case of small scale identity fraud, which apparently now is S.H.I.E.L.D.’s problem. It’s admittedly deplorable, but also exactly the sort of thing local law enforcement or the FBI ought to be handling, Clint thinks, if Fury wasn’t in the market for a training exercise.

Clint Barton & Natasha Romanov, Phil Coulson, Bobbi Morse

completed a few weeks ago for Marvel Bang 2015. This story takes place one year after Clint makes the unexpected choice to bring Natasha Romanov in from the cold. They've become co-workers and acquaintances, but Natasha is still as much a mystery to Clint as she was on the day he was first sent to target her. A story about making friends and making choices, set against the backdrop of daily life at SHIELD.

strike team delta & co.
rating: pg
characters: Clint Barton, Pietro Maximoff, Wanda Maximoff, Natasha Romanoff
warnings: mild language, minor references to canon childhood trauma

summary: In the early days of their partnership and the last days of a border war, Clint and Natasha are sent to Sokovia with a simple mission: retrieve time-sensitive intel and get out. But there are more than bombs and fading ghosts in the city's dusty streets, and the secrets that brought death and destruction also made two barefoot orphans to shadow their searching steps.

author's note: Inspired by this fantastic art by koreanrage of Clint, Natasha, and the kid Maximoff twins. As this is somewhat canon compliant, I couldn't wrangle powered!twins, but here, have a glance at how they might have found each other.

Thanks to cybermathwitch and findthesea for listening to me yell about this for a little while. The above icon is for both of you.

It’s meant to be a simple side mission in Sokovia, a natural segue after Strike Team Delta stops by the Czech Republic.

Title: Wheel of Fortune (Chapter 1 and 2)
Author: shenshen77
A Gift For: [livejournal.com profile] crazy4orcas
Rating: PG
Warnings: None so far, will add as I progress.
Prompt used: Treasure Hunters AU
Summary: A pyramid in the middle of Croatia in 1943? You have got to be kidding. Add a mythical cannon wheel that will grant its owner success in all combat situations, Nazis, Soviets and a beautiful redhead hot on its heels - Not a good day for Clint "Hawkeye" Barton, adjunct professor of archaeology at Washington University in St. Louis.
Author Notes: My dear [livejournal.com profile] crazy4orcas asked for a Treasure Hunters AU and my mind immediately leapt to Indiana Jones. Add to that a rumor I heard about pyramids in what is now Bosnia and my imagination went on the run. Unfortunately it ran further than my time allowed, so only the first two chapters of the fic are done so far. But I'll add more asap, promise!
Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] hufflepuffsneak for brainstorming and beta, [livejournal.com profile] frea_o for more brainstorming and [livejournal.com profile] the_nita for a final readthrough. All credits for the title go to [livejournal.com profile] restingface.

Title: Savile Row
Author: Alpha Flyer
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: Sexy times. Also some off-stage assassin-y stuff.
Relationship: Clint/Natasha
Summary: Sometimes, Natasha thinks, working for S.H.I.E.L.D. has its advantages – one of the more immediate ones being the privilege of seeing Hawkeye in a tuxedo.

Author's Note: First posted on LJ for the [livejournal.com profile] towerparty flashfic smut challenge, to [livejournal.com profile] paperclipbitch’s prompt “it's criminal when you whisper in my ear.” (Confession time: Being me, I had to stick in a bit of mission!fic, so the thing got out of hand a bit in terms of length, and I had to beg our mod for an extra 90 minutes to finish. This version is edited and cleaned up a bit.)

warnings: none

summary: The potential for devastation is huge. The staff of the Library's North American branch risk their lives every second they search for the monster hiding on the shelves, knowing they must kill it when they find it. And find it they must; the entire continent's collected knowledge, literature, and histories are at stake. So... just another Monday, then.

author's note: This was tangentially inspired by, but is completely unrelated to, the Library from The Librarians. The title refers to The Very Hungry Caterpillar, by Eric Press. And finally, many thanks to cybermathwitch, who made this so much better. <3 All remaining mistakes are mine!

“And the long lost travelers return!” Steve’s cheerful greeting welcomed the pair as Clint opened the door to the office’s common room, letting Natasha step in before him.

Beta: [livejournal.com profile] inkvoices. Thank you again!
Notes: written for [livejournal.com profile] alphaflyer as part of [livejournal.com profile] igrockspock's winter fic exchange. Essentially amounts to Melinda, Maria and Natasha in Austria saving Clint's arse. Go team!

They were in the Central Alps in Austria, in December at night fall, because if Clint Barton was going to be compromised, he was going to do it properly. And apparently that meant doing so in stupidly inaccessible places in the snow.

Title: Three Times The Team Nearly Blew Their Cover (And One Time They Did That Themselves)
Author: Andacus
Rating and warnings: Teen and none!
Summary: Three (of the many, many) times The Avengers didn't think before acting and caused Clint and Natasha more trouble than they needed. And one time they almost blew their own cover (wink wink, nudge nudge).

Notes: [livejournal.com profile] isis_uf and I decided cliches are the best and we wanted an excuse to write fic based on them, thus our own personal cliche bingo was born. She gave me a card of her own creation and I returned the favor. My first offering is here and meets the Undercover and Pretend to be a Couple squares. Hope you like!

Title: wound you up like i tied a bow
Author: [livejournal.com profile] findthesea
Remix Recipient: [livejournal.com profile] _samalander
Pairing(s): Clint/Natasha
Rating: NC-17/Explicit
Warnings: BDSM, knife play, sexual content, language - please see additional notes/warnings at beginning of fic
A/N: I had the general framework for this story bouncing around in my head for a few months, but never got around to putting it together - so perhaps it was serendipitous that fate (or the mods) offered me a chance to have this particular idea line up nicely with something that my recipient had already written. In short, I got to write the fic I wanted to write, and remix a fic I really liked when I first read it...so I consider this a win/win. And I'd apologize about the length, which got away from me the more times that I edited, but I can't imagine you all will mind. :)
Fic I've Chosen To Remix: Faith and Numbers
Summary: “You’re going to have to be convincing,” Fury says, and it’s not until later, when they’re completely alone and it’s all setting in, that Clint understands what his boss means by convincing.

The biggest of thanks to [livejournal.com profile] enigma731 for beta, cheerleading, edits, and your tireless support that included telling me yes, shut up, don't worry at least five times a day for about three weeks. I don't know what I would do without you. <3

Title: Thaw
Author: Sienamystic
Remix Recipient: Alphaflyer
Pairing(s): Clint/Natasha
Rating: G
Warnings (or 'I choose not to warn'): No warnings necessary
Author's Note: I really enjoy missionfic, where relationships get explored because of a situation and you can throw metaphors and "if things hadn't gone wrong this wouldn't be happening" stuff, and "well, now we've got a new relationship post-disaster, how did that happen?", and Alphaflyer's Warmth was a story that hit so many of my buttons I decided it had to be the one I wanted to explore. The story I ended up writing is, in some ways, a mirroring, where I've turned a frigid hotel room to a hot desert - but I wanted to maintain the journey that Alphaflyer took Clint and Natasha through, so that the endings would be very similar. I hope I've created something worth reading, because I think the original story is such a tidy bit of characterization that I'd love to live up to.
Fic I've Chosen To Remix (please include link): Warmth, by Alphaflyer
Summary: A disaster leaves Clint and Natasha stranded in the desert.

Natasha doesn't hate the desert, exactly (link to A03)

Title: The Deserter’s Song
Author: [livejournal.com profile] enigma731
Remix Recipient: [livejournal.com profile] theladymore
Pairing(s): Clint Barton & Natasha Romanoff
Rating: Adult
Warnings (or 'I choose not to warn'): graphic depictions of violence
Author's Note: I was really excited to write for someone who loves angst as much as I do, and to get more experience flexing my spy!fic muscles.
Fic I've Chosen To Remix (please include link): Checkmate
Summary: Natasha thought that if she could count on anything, it would be Clint's trust in her.

Title: Other Side of the Mirror
[livejournal.com profile] telaryn
Remix Recipient: [livejournal.com profile] allisnow
Pairing(s): pre-Clintasha
Rating: PG-13
Warnings (or 'I choose not to warn'): I choose not to warn.
Author's Note: I've never done a remix before, so when this exchange was announced I was excited to try. I signed up, got my assignment in turn...

...and panicked.

Allisnow is somebody I have referred to in the past as "the Michelangelo of the Clintasha fandom". White Blank Page in particular is literally the best case fic I've ever read.

To recap - I sign up for something I've never done before and the person I get assigned is Michelangelo and on the list is the Sistine Chapel.

No pressure. *g*

So I took a look at the other fics on the list and there was something about Out is Through that really spoke to me. I'm a sucker for Clintasha meeting stories, and telling Clint's part of that story seemed to fit the bill perfectly.

Why I ended up returning to White Blank Page to do a second fic...
Fic I've Chosen To Remix (please include link): Out is Through
Summary: He's read maybe a tenth of the intel available on the Black Widow, but Clint is sure of two things: 1. She's looking for a way out, and 2. She doesn't want to die.

Now if he can just convince his superiors that he knows what he's talking about, things might start changing for the better.

Title: The Past That Never Leaves You
Author: [livejournal.com profile] telaryn
Remix Recipient: [livejournal.com profile] allisnow
Pairing(s): Clint/Natasha
Rating: R
Warnings (or 'I choose not to warn'): I choose not to warn.
Author's Note: While I was working on my remix of Out is Through I decided to reread White Blank Page - primarily because I hadn't read it in a while, but also because I wanted to make absolutely sure I wasn't avoiding the potential to tell a story that was in me to tell. A lot of times when I'm inspired to write a fic it's because I've seen an "entry point" in canon that allows me to slide in, do my work and then leave.

I found that point in White Blank Page during my reread when I started drawing mental parallels between Kamala Menesh and Yelena Belova, Natasha's "sister" in the Red Room. What resulted wasn't a perfect "what if" by any means, but is definitely a story I am proud to say was inspired by allisnow's amazing storytelling.
Fic I've Chosen To Remix (please include link): White Blank Page
Summary: While trying to rescue Natasha from the grip of the Institute for Rehabilitative Therapy, Steve and Clint discover that some poisons are harder to root out and destroy than others.

Author’s Notes: Part of a slightly AU genderswap shared 'verse with [livejournal.com profile] lithiumlaughter that we call Avengers 919: my part and her part. Written as a birthday present for her and to fill the genderswap square of my Trope Bingo card.
Summary: Nikolai Romanoff wasn't the only Red Room agent in the Atrax program. When his old rival is reactivated, Colleen "Hawkeye" Barton gets caught in the crossfire—and Nikolai doesn't like that.

TITLE: Things We Lost in the Fire (2/?)
AUTHOR: [livejournal.com profile] enigma731
PAIRING: Clint Barton/Natasha Romanoff
WARNINGS: Winter Soldier spoilers, graphic depictions of violence
SUMMARY: Natasha doesn’t have any orders now, so she gives herself a mission: act normal. Stay calm. Defy the chaos that’s threatening to overwhelm her. The world knows all of her secrets, so she ought to just move on with living. And that’s the point, really--that’s the only way to win. A post-Winter Soldier multichapter.
