On the submissions front: in other fests/exchanges i've seen for art and graphics that people upload it onto an anonymous photobucket/whatever (if reveals are later) and then send the html as it would be if the person would be posting it, ie. <img src="IMAGE LINK etc and then you should just be able to paste that into an LJ post. Perhaps something similar with mixes?
I hate using the rich text box, meh. Happy to do a post on how to html mark up fics if people want one. And a ready-done html header info set can be handy :)
