Prompts: All things Valentine's Day or love (romantic or otherwise!) related. Friendship? UST? Developing romantic feelings? Badass mission that just so happens to involve obnoxious heart-shaped candies? Excessive consumption of pink cupcakes? Living down by that rivier in Egypt or AoU-compliant? I have started this fic, like, nine times in the past few months, but I always end up nowhere once Natasha stands in the shadows and watches Clint vaulting (without a shirt on) because he's frustrated and just wants something familiar to do. She didn't even know he knew how, thought he wasn't exactly telling the truth about the whole circus thing.

And then I stare at a blinking cursor.

Right? I imagine they'd both be really good, even if I know next to nothing about vaulting in general. (I watched about ten minutes of a competition on youtube)

I may have drooled a little at the thought of a shirtless Clint vaulting. Could that be why you end up staring at a blinking cursor??

...it may be a factor, yes. Have you seen that drawing with Clint holding the bridle of some horse, they're facing each other and all in circus-y get up? OH! Wait.



That was superhelpful when I try to think about his background. Also it's awesome art.

I had seen that artwork before and loved it. There's also one I've seen floating around on tumblr with Clint and Kate in an embrace on horseback and it's pretty awesome too (even if it is Clint/Kate ;) ).

THERE ARE WINGS! ahem. I mean, thanks, I really like their art, but didn't realize there was so much of it. I am indebted. It's added incentive to finish the fic.
