Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuude. This installment is just awesome incarnate. Is it wrong that when Barton walks into the room and he and Coulson are squaring off that I'm just sitting there having an 'oh hai' moment? Srsly, the testosterone they are throwing off in that scene is giving me the vapors. It's just two Major Players sitting down for a little chess game and it works. It totally works. And the underlying friendship/respect works too. Their whole dynamic here just fucking kicks ass.
(and why do i suddenly feel like we've set out to write a noir epic? b/c i think that might be exactly what we're doing....)
And the ending. Kills me ded. KEEEEEEEEEEEEEELS ME. DED.
