Hi All, February has arrived and with it Valentine's Mini Promptathon 2021!

What is it? It’s like the big summer promptathon, only a mini version and there’s a general theme of Valentine’s Day and love - romantic, platonic, galentine’s, you name it. Friendship? UST? Developing romantic feelings? Badass mission? Excessive consumption of pink cupcakes? Angst and hurt/comfort? Alternate universes? Poly relationships? Natasha or Clint dating other people? Clint or Natasha spending time with friends? All welcome here!

How To Play - Prompts:

Leave your prompt in a comment to this post. List each prompt as its own separate comment. Prompts can be generic, Marvel, or include a mention of Clint and/or Natasha.

How To Play - Fills:

We’d like fills to contain a mention of Clint and/or Natasha in some way because we love them, but other than that the whole, wide Marvel Universe is yours to play in.

Post your fill, or a link to your fill - be it fic, art, a video of you performing an interpretive dance, etc - as a reply to the prompt comment. Please don't post your fanwork separately to the comm. We'll create a masterlist post at the end to make sure that everyone gets to see your creations!

Please include a title, rating, and appropriate warnings in the subject line of your fill. (If you run out of space just make sure it's at the start.) As per the comm rules please include a rating/warnings or a rating/choose not to warn. Thank you!

No matter where he happens to be on Valentine's Day (top secret mission, in the infirmary, middle of the jungle, hitching a ride on a submarine, etc) Clint ALWAYS finds a Valentine's card from Natasha - and they're always one of those cheesy cards that he was forced to give his classmates when he was in elementary school (alternatively - they're always one of the cheesy Avengers branded cards).

Natasha tells Clint that they're going out for Valentine's Day - she has it all planned out - he's under the impression they'll be doing the "typical" romantic stuff and is suitably reluctant. Turns out Natasha has booked them space at an archery range that also has a paintball course and an old fashioned pinball arcade - Clint is thrilled.

Oh, phew! I have a 1:4 ratio on both. But I hear you. We've gotten a little heavy on that and sometimes classic Clintasha is just what's needed :)

Post-Civil War Clint and Natasha after Clint is broken out of the RAFT and they're on the run.

Avengers Assemble AU: what if Loki uses the spear to take Natasha instead of Clint.

Could be an imagining of how that would go. Could be dealing with the aftermath.

On a generational spaceship, the kind where it's the great-great-whatever grandkids of the people who leave Earth who eventually arrive at the final destination.

Do Clint and Natasha sign up to go and why, or are they selected? Are they people in the middle of the journey, who are born and will die on this ship, and what choices and kind of life do they have? Are they towards the end of the journey where everything is old and falling apart? Or are they nearly at the end, contemplating the landing and how everything is going to change?

Inspired by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman's Good Omens, as in the spirit of it but not strictly that story:

Clint and Natasha are an angel and demon who have been on Earth for so long that they're closer to each other than their respective sides and have become each other’s person.

CIRCUS AU (look, if I didn't leave a circus prompt you'd wonder what was wrong with me *grins*)

Clint Barton has recently become established as top billing The Amazing Hawkeye. Natasha Romanoff is a performer/member of an established, static, big name circus. (Think like Cirque in Las Vegas.) She's been sent to recruit Clint from the shitty, run down travelling circus he's in. She understands loyalty, but the more she learns about Carson's and the way Clint is/has been treated, the more she really doesn't understand why he keeps turning her down/is so reluctant to leave...

(Or something like that. I mean I love me anything circus.)

Could be AU or not - some well meaning person in Clint's life (who doesn't know that he's Hawkeye OR Clint isn’t Hawkeye) notices that Clint keeps getting beaten up/in trouble/could do with some help not being clumsy and so signs him up for a self-defense/martial arts class run by Natasha Romanoff (who could be the Black Widow volunteering/undercover/on leave/side job etc or not).
