"Aww, we're out of poptarts," Clint whined as he peered into the kitchen cabinet.
Darcy eyed him blearily from where she hovered by Stark's fancy coffee maker, waiting for it to spit out her triple espresso. She shared Clint's disappointment, but she had bigger issues to deal with right now. Like the fact that Natasha had asked her (and asked was a pretty nice way of putting it - it had been more of a demand than a request) to join her in the gym that morning for a self-defense training session. The first of several, Natasha assured her.
Clint peered at her with narrowed eyes. "You don't have anything to do with this lack of breakfast nirvana, do you?"
"Nope," she said, shaking her head. "I had nothing to do with it. But Thor is addicted to those things - and when I say addicted, I don't mean like you and I are addicted. I mean I've seen him down four twin pack in a row."
"Guess we'll just have to get more." Clint said, patting down his pockets and pulling out his wallet to check for cash. "Wanna make a bodega run with me?"
"Sorry, can't. I have to be down in the gym in a few minutes. Natasha signed me up for training lessons."
That got a surprised look out of Clint and Darcy shrugged.
"Yeah, I know, but she made a really good point about Jane and I living with a bunch of superheroes and how we should probably know a few things. Just in case." She eyed the slower than slow espresso machine and frowned. "I just wish she'd have scheduled it a little later in the morning."
