heee - so true. Depending on the part of the country, definitely plenty of boots here too. And flipflops everywhere, altho of course for us, they're thongs. I love vernacular variation. :) And I think you're right about the wide open horizons (and also big blue skies :) ) - they're a state of mind as much as an environment.
