Fanwork Rec Friday: Kissin' ... and stuff.

The votes have been counted!!! The people have spoken!!!  It's SMOOCHIE TIME y'all!!!  We will do dark!fic as next week's topic, but for now, bring me all your art, your vids, your fics, your everything related to Master Assassins's getting some liplock (or more) on. 

I'm actually torn on this subject because I feel like it really deserves a two-part post-- one focused on just the liplocking/outmaking aspects and the other focused on the sexin'.  I say bring either one to the table, but I'd almost rather we focus on kissin' now and save the sexin' for a separate post.  But feel free to disagree with me (no big deal, happens all the time ;P).

Rating can be anything from PG to explicit-- just be sure to let us know what's what.  And to make it extra fun, I'd love to see people quote a favorite line or two from what they rec, because SHARING IS CARING (and as always let us know why you're recc'ing in the first place, because talking about fic/fanwork is half the fun).

Well, if we may have a separate rec post for getting hot under the collar, I may save my rec for then, because it contains a grand zero kissing. So! Instead, I'll just link to the Clint/Tasha ficlets that have been posted on the kissing fest (for JUSTICE and for SQUEE, because ah, this fandom, so talented).

For the prompt we aren't even real:

by recessional: The world pauses for a second, and then Tasha says, " . . . did you just give me a patronizing kiss on the head?" and really sounds a lot more like Natalia Romanova and a lot less like a crazed remnant of a super-spy-assassin. Clint congratulates himself. [PG, contains some slightly gory imagery] I love this. I love this one so much - it's both sweet and messed up, like they are, and I go between seal-clapping with glee and going "OH, KIIIDS" and clutching my heart.

by liseuse: It isn’t often that Clint gets sent on the deep infiltration spy gigs these days. They seem to have more use for him on rooftops and watching from a distance. But, right now, he is in a tuxedo, dancing with Natasha in the American Embassy in Kiev. Mission!ficlet! And I can see this all happening, complete with the last of UST because they are on a mission, but it's awesome and slinky and they are being their competent selves.

by some_stars: After the Loki situation, SHIELD takes them both off active duty for a few weeks. Ostensibly it's until all the paperwork clears, but really, Natasha knows, it's because they're resources, and SHIELD is managing them. It doesn't feel like a kindness. This is quiet and bitter, and ends up being bittersweet with how they know each other, with how Natasha is trying to help and find a way for Clint to relax and heal. And ♥

For the prompt safe:

by liseuse: They've done this for years. It started as a quicker way of getting in and out of the bathroom and only having one set of blood to clean away, but now Clint stands, bracketed against the shower wall by Natasha, and lets her kiss him gently along the jawline. [some gory imagery] post-mission, and it slides from post-mission snark and complaining to reaffirming that they are in one piece. Kiiiiiiiiiids.

by recessional: Natalia waits. Then she reaches over and worms her hand into his free one, arm crossing over one of his and under the other. "Hey," she says. "It'll be fine. You're here. You're safe. It's over. This is just . . . ." she sighs. "The really fucking shitty aftermath." Post-canon, and AH, FEELINGS. Natasha's angry and fierce and worried as hell, and Clint's not coping well, and FEELINGS. This is the quiet fierceness of their canon-scene in the recovery room, as if Natasha could make him believe her that he'll be okay by sheer will.

for the prompt sometimes, she comes back from missions and she kisses like other people:

Clint pulls back, face tentative and eyes serious, but his hand (rough and callused and familiar, above anything else) is still cupping the back of her neck. Natasha exhales and leans forward, resting her forehead against his. She closes her eyes. Quiet and complicated, and Natasha still finding her Natasha feet after being Natalie Rushman for a while, and it's all how they remind themselves of who they really are. Also, I should admit that this was one my prompts, so I'm all :DDDD at the fill anyway, but I love it, too.
