ATTF: The WIP Exchange!!

Okay, technically this is ATTS but as I write this, it's still Friday on the West Coast of North America, so.

This weekend (and until the next ATTF rolls around) is your chance to unburden yourself of your troubles with pesky Works in Progress.  You know, the things that have been sitting on your hard drive forever and that won't finish themselves no matter how hard you stare at them.  Or even just the ideas that won't quite gel - you know, the ones that need a nudge to turn into an actual story. (This used to be a regular - Wednesday - feature of the comm, and is quite possibly the reason "Highway of Diamonds" got written.)

Come and get inspiration from your friends in this wonderful comm!

-  Tell us about the corner you've written yourself into - maybe someone can help you out?

-  Tell us which plot hole you're stuck in - maybe someone has a tow line?

-  Tell us which character arc you're thinking of that seems off - we'll give them a stern talking to and get them to cooperate.

-  Give us an excerpt that we can ooh and aah over, so as to inspire you to continue!

There are some amazing writers on this site that are only to happy to help out, be used as a sounding board, cheer you on or give you a little push.  Because we are selfish if there is one thing we like, it's more great Clintasha fic!

Things to remember:
1) Always label NSFW (Not Safe For Work) stuff in the title and post under a cut.
2) Fic and artwork needs to have a rating and warnings (or you can say that you’ve chosen not to use warnings).
3) For people with annoying internet connections, say in the title if a comment is graphic/images/gif-heavy and post picspams under a cut.
4) Have a damn good time! (Because if that’s not happening then this post has clearly failed.)

I was scrolling through the comments and saw reincarnation ...I freaked out a little! :P I feel like one of the problems with the reincarnation plot is that it's hard to tie everything together? Hahaha idk. I'm trying to write a Clint/Nat reincarnation AU too and I feel like what works for me is making a list of when (and where) I want to write them, and absolutely(!!!) sticking to it.

As for your other WIPs, the mashup sounds really interesting. :D

I WANT TO FINISH IT. I have a good chunk done, but I'm just stuck on how to make it a story. If that makes sense. I may revisit it this weekend and try to work through a plot...

This mash-up thing, to give you an idea of how long it's been a WIP, was started before AOU because it was supposed to be an AU about what happened after Ultron. I am determined to get it out of google docs.

Would your reincarnation AU thingy work as a 5 + 1 type fic? 5 times they were reincarnated and the 1 time as their first life?

That way you wouldn't necessarily need to have anything weaving the sections together?

What crazy4orcas said. And/or in terms of a common thread weaving through the stories is a curse - a la Ladyhawke? An increasing recognition that they are meant to be together, but consistent frustration until the last one (maybe with a twist of Loki being the one who breaks the "spell").

Normally I'd be ALL OVER the 5 times idea but it's me and I already have 2Kish written and I've lived with the idea for like 2 years, and in my brain, I just can't not think of this being at least a 10K one shot. ;)

But I like the common thread idea!!
