How to play:

As a warm up for promptathon, this is a an 'everyone writes a fill for the same prompt' challenge suggested by Iriel3000 on the discord chat. A number of prompts were suggested and voted on, but the winner is a tie so you actually get TWO prompts: 'rooftop' and 'time travel'.


TIMELINE: from now until midnight (whatever your timezone) Friday 26 July. (You can absolutely still play after this date, but you won't be included in a masterlist after this date and then the big summer promptathon will arrive!)

HOW TO PLAY:

Write a fic / create an artwork of any kind that uses 'rooftop' AND 'time travel' as prompts. You can include the actual words or interpret them however you like. The fun of this challenge is going to be seeing what we all come up with.

As we’re a Clintasha (Clint Barton/Natasha Romanoff) community, so we’d also like Clint and/or Natasha to show up in your fill somewhere, but what that means is up to you - individually or as friends, lovers, spouses, partners, gen fic, ANYTHING. We welcome other characters and pairings (and threesomes or moresomes), and all things Marvel, and crossovers.

Reply to this post with your fill OR a link to your fill including: a title, rating (ie AO3 or film rating), and any warnings OR 'choose not to warn' (ie AO3 warnings).

You can post your entire fanwork in a comment if it’s short enough or you can post your fanwork anywhere else on the internet, just please share a link in a comment to this post! This makes it easier for people to find all fills during the event and makes it a LOT easier for your mods to create a masterlist at the end, without missing any of your fills.

How To Play:
- Choose 'trick' or 'treat' and pick a number from 1 to 10

Travel can be a blessing, and a curse, as anyone can attest who has ever lost a piece of luggage, had a flight cancelled, gotten stuck in the middle seat, or been taken aside by the police for inadvertently trying to bring a piece of firearm onboard a plane (don't ask - shit happens, ok?).  And then, at the other end, you end up in places both glorious and mundane, enchanting or awful, with food that can be either utterly amazing or make you barf 14 times before you have to be "on" for the thing for which you travelled around the planet in the first place.  

When your job is in global assassinations security, travel is like what Thanos thinks he is:  Inevitable. 

So here is your topic and assignment for the day:

It's amazing to think how long this wonderfully positive corner of fandom has been squeeing over the Avengers, how many things we've created, all of the prompathons and secret santa exchanges, all the discussions of the twists and turns of Clint and Natasha in the MCU, and that we still have new people that join and familiar faces that stick around. So today was supposed to be the day our favourite ex-Russian spy got her own stand-alone film. But, because of Things, we'll have to wait until November 6th for that pleasure, so we decided that instead we'd have a Natasha Romanov Appreciation Day to celebrate everything Black Widow.

Hi All, something a bit different for this weekend - a virtual Scavenger Hunt!

How Does It Work?

For each of the 'items' listed you need to find something that you think matches or represents it, and you can be as creative as you like. For example, for 'ballet' you could link to an MCU fic featuring ballet dancing, or fan art, or a fan vid, or outside of the MCU a book or film that you've read or seen that has ballet in it, or maybe you have a photograph of ballet slippers, a tutu you wore once, you could tell us about a time you saw a performance... it all counts!

This is non-competitive, so there's no points to win. The fun is taking part and entertaining each other with what we come up with!

How Do I Play?

Comment with your items! You can comment for one or a few items as you go along, or in total if you only want to find a few of them. Or you can find the whole lot and do one big comment.

You can take a look at any of the tags with 'Friday' in to see the kinds of things that we've gotten up to before. Who can host?

This Friday we're going old school - it's time for some Clint/Natasha recs. We're looking for the fics that got you into the fandom, or your favourites, the ones you've gone back to to recover from Endgame, the new ones that have made you fall in love with this pairing all over again... and the fanvids, the fan mixes, the fan art, all the things, of course. ALL THE CLINT/NATASHA RECS.

Natasha Romanoff. The Black Widow. Capturing our attention since Iron Man 2 with flipping Happy, kicking ass, and quoting latin. Keeping it from her first subverting expectations scene in Avengers, and then THOSE SCENES with Clint Barton that had us all hooked.

Many films later and now we know how it ends. (Black Widow movie pending - fix it, backstory, who knows?)

This weekend will be our community's annibirthday (7 years since we started on LJ)! And with Avengers Endgame with its extra Clint and Natasha screentime just out it seems like a good time for a good old-fashioned community friending party post.
