May 1, 2015
*seal claps*
Now we just need a Hawkeye origin movie and a Black Widow origin movie before then. :-D

I DID MY WAITING!
TWELVE YEARS OF IT! IN AZKABAN!
I mean... 3.5 years for a Star Trek XII was rough enough, but at least this has the other tie-ins.

Marvel thinks that the whole world is as in love with some of their completely cheezy characters as Stan Lee is. The problem is, we're not. And at some point, they're going to make a stinker of a movie (possibly Ant Man) and it's going to affect the future of the characters that we DO love like crazy (the various Avengers and the X-Men). It's like they've forgotten about the first Fantastic Four movie (the Roger Corman one that was so bad it was never even released).

It might be wishful thinking, but I have a feeling that since they are trying to pull Ant-Man in next year's pruduction roster, they might be making room for another movie inbetween...
Putting my education to some use and breaking down the model...
Marvel Studios has claimed that they generally can do one, to two movies a year, but the hope is to be able to pull off maybe three a year.
Now for Phase 2, the original plan was
- IM3 and Thor2 produced in 2012.
- CA2 and GotG produced in 2013.
- Ant-Man and Avengers2 produced in 2014.
the fact that they're willing to, maybe, pull Ant-Man into 2013 has two plausible scenarios:
A) They've either cracked the numbers and can afford a whole extra movie in 2013, which leaves money for another movie in 2014.
That would look like
- IM3 and Thor2 produced in 2012
- CA2, GotG and Ant-Man produced in 2013
- Unannounced movie and Avengers2 produced in 2014.
or
B) They might have some money they can shift around which would allow them to squeeze another movie in 2013 and permitt a bigger, more comfortable, budget for Avengers2.
Which translates to
- IM3 and Thor2 produced in 2012
- CA2, GotG and Ant-Man produced in 2013
- Avengers2 produced in 2014.
I can understand trying to make sure they have enough money for Avengers2, but seeing as the company's long term plan seems to be to make more than one movie a year, I think it might be backtracking...
*shrugs* Just thought I'd point it out...

What the movie will be however is a whole other story...
Trying to be as objective as I can, a Black Widow/Hawkeye origins flic is the most plausible candidate, especiallly considering their possible involvement in CA2...
