I like my timezone being in the middle. I miss the start, meh, but it means there's a bunch of stuff already around when I show up, and then as long as I don't sleep I can stay to the end of the party *grins and hands you Avengers themed cupcakes*.

I tend to track the post as a whole, then I get all the comments (including the ones buried back in the depths of the threads) in my email where I can respond or not as I please. With a little bit of tag/filters (because I already have my gmail tag my LJ notices) it works pretty well. :D

the nice part in Gmail is that it threads the comments, so you have them altogether. And the way it auto-sorts, you have the ones that are directed to you separate from the general ones, because it's the difference in "person replied to a comment in thread" vs. "person replied to a comment you left in thread" and it sees those as different convos. :)
