ATTF: Domestic Avengers Head Canons

Hello, bar!

It's been a while! We have a new movie! We're starting to have lots of new fanworks! Things are shiny! :D

So, now that we've had a few weeks (or one week, for those of us in the US) to discuss Age of Ultron in general, I thought we'd get a little more specific with today's ATTF. Personally, I loved just about everything in this movie, but one of my most favorite things was getting to see the little glimpses of our favorite characters just hanging out being friends.

So, today I want to focus on Domestic Avengers head canons -- maybe ones you had before AoU, or new ones you have now that we've gotten to see the Tower and the team as a whole!

For example:

• Does Tony have robots to do all the chores?


• Just exactly what does Natasha have to pick up after the boys? And what kind of retribution is in order as a result?


• Who's really good at cooking? Who sucks at it?


• Who wins Cards Against Humanity every Friday night? (Because you know there is a weekly game and it is Serious Business.)


• Prank wars! You also know that there are prank wars. Who instigates? Who wins? Who gets totally grumpy about it?

Come pull up a chair and share your domestic head canons, theories, fics, or whatever else.

Things to remember:
1) Always label NSFW (Not Safe For Work) stuff in the title and post under a cut.
2) Fic and artwork needs to have a rating and warnings (or you can say that you’ve chosen not to use warnings).
3) For people with annoying internet connections, say in the title if a comment is graphic/images/gif-heavy and post picspams under a cut.
4) Have a damn good time! (Because if that’s not happening then this post has clearly failed.)

Ok, I need to know who is good at cooking now. I feel like Clint can cook and grill. I think Tony can cook as long as you don't hand him anything. Natasha can cook because Scarlett said she likes to cook to unwind and Scarlett KNOWS.

Definitely agreeing with Natasha being a good cook! I think it's great that Scarlett has headcanons. She's like the captain of MCU Natasha fandom.

I think Natasha often meets Maria and Melinda for a drink or three to unwind.

It's also a Maria/Melinda fic and Maria and Melinda meet for the first time when they're both in SHIELD medical with broken bones. They have to wait a long time because the staff have an emergency to deal with so they say "screw this, we're getting a drink."

...I really need to look at this again. :p

If they play Cards Against Humanity? They have all the expansion packs, but also an Avengers expansion pack that Tony printed off/produced. Answer cards include many, many in-jokes and the most inappropriate cards weren't even Tony's ideas. (Which is one of the reasons he knows he can live with these people - on the inside they really are as bad as he is.)

(Natasha takes pictures of the funniest combinations and sends them to Laura. And, that one time, Fury.)

Not sure what Cards Against Humanity is (well I know its a game but beyond that...) but I can get behind all of this.

It's a terrible, terrible game that makes me laugh at things I really shouldn't laugh at. Basically there are question cards, or cards with a setence with blanks. Someone picks one of these and reads it out. You will have a hand of answer cards, which are either ridiculous words and phrases or awful things, and you have to chose from those an answer or something to fill in the blanks. As does everyone else. Anonymously. The question person reads out all the answers and choses the one they think is the best or funniest. If it's yours, you get a point. When Clint comes home from a mission, he likes to work with his hands. Those endless home improvements? Laura wasn't kidding about that. (Although sometimes he actually finishes stuff.) Cooper likes to help with small projects. The birdhouse was his idea.

Natasha sometimes comes and watches, and entertains Clint with detailed exposés on how each one of his tools could be used in a fight. ("Obviously, those chisels can be thrown. But do you know what else..."

Now we know for sure he really does have callused hands, and its just from the shooting. ;)
