HELLO EVERYONE IN THIS WONDERFUL BAR. Today we are four! How brilliant is that?! Four years, 927 members, and 37,719 comments – and more by the time this post goes live, I’m sure. That’s an incredible amount of promptathons, exchanges, challenges, discussions, and a HUGE outpouring of creativity, not to mention how positive, welcoming, friendly, and just plain awesome you all are.

So to celebrate, in true be_compromised fashion, we’re going to have ourselves a good old-fashioned getting-to-know-you community friending party post! Chat to new and old community friends, add each other as LJ friends if you like or don’t, no pressure, just PARTY. Free drinks at the bar, grab yourselves a slice of cake, and for goodness’ sake be careful with the pass the parcel, someone probably put weaponry in there.

MCU, comics, or all the things?
I think I've read enough of the comics now to be able to say both, but mainly still MCU. Fraction & Aja's Hawkeye though!
Have you seen Captain America: Civil War yet? (If yes how many times, if no when are you getting to see it?)
Yep! Managed to see it twice. And I was thinking of persuading my film buddy to come with me a third time, but I actually think she's working on persuading me lol. I feel this will not be a matter of persuasion so much as when we next have free time.

All of the above! Although I tend to write AU.

Sass and fun dialogue, team-families, marvelous ladies, twists I did not see coming, all the AUs.

When Clint went missing - okay, kidnapped, not quite the same thing - Kate was a-okay with going to the rescue, not a problem, but she might have called America, okay. She calls America a lot these days. And whatever, she was worried. Then Natasha just...turned up - Kate thinks maybe she has some kind of checking on Clint system that pinged - and she called Bobbi and Carol for backup when shit was starting to look bad, and Maria to cover for them all being busy. She's still not sure how the Parker kid got involved, but she thinks maybe him and his Aunt live in Clint's building and he muttered something about being a witness; America keeps threatening to adopt him.

Any other fandoms you're currently into:
I read in a lot of fandoms, but tend to only write in Avengers these days. And I fail at keeping up with tv shows, but I do love Agent Carter, Agents of SHIELD, The Walking Dead... Most recently I've hunted down fanfic for The Martian - loved both the book and the film - and I'm sure the new X Men film will send me back to Westchester.

I write a lot of AUs, occasional wordy meta, and sometimes I make icons. I love chatty discussions, fandom positivity, and recs. And I have this habit of assuming that if you hang out at this comm that we're friends anyway *grins*. Oh, and I'm a terrible enabler.

Yes, you are a terrible first-rate enabler ... Now go and write that Clint rescue thing with Spidey trying to outsnark him and admiring how he is not awkward around all those ladies... (I actually feel tempted to write Spidey after CW for, like, the FIRST TIME EVER.
