Master List, Part 2 now with more delicious everything!

******************

NOTE: PROMPTING HAS NOW CLOSED, BUT FICS AND FANWORKS MAY STILL BE SUBMITTED THROUGH AUGUST 31ST. THANKS!

Welcome!!!! The time is now upon us. This will kick off a month's worth of prompting and fanworking and all the good things. Not sure what to do? Click below for our handy-dandy Promptathon Guide!

RULES ON POSTING SUBMISSIONS
(please read before you post! <3)

The Rules.  Just follow these three easy steps!

1. Leave a Prompt.

Prompts can be anything--simple or elaborate, words or pictures, songs or poems, lyrics or phrases. Anything that, to you, inspires a C/N fanwork. Use your imagination. Go crazy. All I ask is that you keep it tasteful and warn for anything explicit or triggery. Also, try to be as specific as you can with your prompts--this is often very helpful to those creating the fanwork.

And leave as many prompts as you want. I’m serious. Keep coming back, y’all. We want all the prompts we can possibly get Also, be sure to leave each prompt as a separate comment.

2. Wait a week.
Tailgate and chitchat and keep leaving prompts. And mull over the epic fanworks you are creating.

3. Submit C/N fanwork like there is no tomorrow.
All submissions should either be posted here or linked to this post via a comment. The nitty gritty details of posting your stuff can be found HERE. Please read before you post

Timeframe:
Prompts will be accepted starting today, Friday, July 13th (!!!) and will remain open until Friday, August 10th.  Submissions may be submitted beginning on Friday, July 20th and may continue to be submitted until August 10th.

What we hope to accomplish with all this promptathon-iness:

  • A chance to get in the game. Been wanting to jump into the C/N fanwork scene but not sure where to start? Now’s the time. There’s no length requirement on the works submitted, you can focus on drabbles and vidlets and short and sweet projects (or do longer more epic stuff if that strikes your fancy as well).  It’s really entirely up to you. We’re just hoping to provide a fun, no-pressure environment.
  • Meet new and awesome people. Because srsly, I love everyone in this bar. It's a good damn bar. Don't be afraid to say hello
  • Ship like you’ve never shipped before.
  • Tailgate when appropriate. My motto is, if something ain’t a cocktail party, you just aren’t trying hard enough. In that spirit, [livejournal.com profile] aurora_0811and I are hosting the tailgate section (which I think at this point just includes random chatter and ridiculousness, cheerleading and tomfoolery, because I doubt our comm’s talkative nature will be suppressed even during the prompting/waiting period.) So pull up a helicarrier-shaped lawnchair, crack open a cold one and settle in for the festivities. And leave prompts.

And most of all, have fun. :)

There are no tomatoes here. Or, well, none that are not for eating for their tasty red deliciousness. Definitely none for throwing.

This fic needs to exist. Like, as of yesterday. Or forever ago. It's brilliant! And I would totes read the hell out of it.

(sort of a thing for the whole friends-with-benefits turns into real love thing)

I love this. I have tried to write this, but only ended up successfully doing Tony's point of view. I think you may have just inspired me to really push and get the others done too.

Well I don't have any copies of Ann McCaffrey books with me at uni, so I'm not talking myself into filling another one of my own prompts, nope :P *looks around the bar* Dragons, anyone?

Natasha is actually really good with technical things and engineering. It helps when it comes to espionage to be able to hack computers and disable alarms, after all. Not Tony Stark good, but good enough that she could understand how the Iron Man suit works if she ever looked at the schematics. She designed and made her own Widow's Bite/String and even a few of Clint's more specialised arrows.

The thing is, she used to make things that got into the wrong hands and bad things happened. She can understand why Stark decided not to make weapons anymore and Iron Man's mission to hunt down and destroy weaponary of his that were in the wrong hands. That's one of the reasons she agreed to be undercover and keep an eye on him. But. Unlike Stark it's not just a fear of the weapon's she makes getting into the wrong hands, because what she's had problems with wasn't designed to be weaponary. People will make of things what they will. So when she started the new life with SHIELD and onwards she never let anyone knew what she was capable of. Clint is the only one that knows.

How and why? And do the rest of the team ever find out? Does she have to rewire a bomb? Hack computers? Fix something? Anything on technical, scientific minded Natasha.

I will probably never finish writing this myself, so here, I throw my prompt to the wind and let all the awesome people here pick it up instead.

Clint suffers something traumatic... could be fallout from Loki taking over his brain or it could be something else (I was going for injury resulting in hearing loss, but do with it what you will). Clint is not coping, not at all, and Natasha is the only person who can really get through to him. She knows the only way to help him.

She gets a training bow and set of arrows. She sets up a course with hay bales, targets, hoops to jump through, ramps. And horses.

Because despite the hell that was his childhood, he finds comfort, a deep internal healing peace, in the routine of the training he spent so many years receiving. Being the best shot in the act wasn't enough to draw a crowd. He had to be the best mounted archer around.

We've had playlist/fan mixes. How about a Clint and Natasha themed drinks list? Recipes? Meals?

(I had Avengers decorated cupcakes at a Can't Stop The Serenity event a few weeks back and they were so fun! Also there was something about cocktails and Virgin Master Assassions and things earlier, me thinks...)

WHAT IF when Clint went undercover for Hurt Locker (following the everyone is Clint undercover fandom rule) Natasha was the one who taught him how to rewire bombs???? Because if she can do it and do it well, would she ever trust anybody else to teach Clint how to do it?!

Oh, hell.

My brain promptly provided an entire weyr's worth of characters based off SHIELD and Marvel Comics.

I am okay with this. Also, I may have found someone/be encouraging someone to take this prompt *grins*.

(And then when we get fills...the mind boggles.)

And and and if there was a bomb rewiring incident in the future Clint would be 'I could do that, but I'm way up here, not gonna make it in time, you want Nat, she's the best at it anyway' and everyone would be 'wait, what?' Or at least Tony would be 'wait, what, I'm the weapon's expert here!' and everybody else would be 'you blow things up Tony, we do not want this right now'. And then does it come out what else Natasha is capable of?

...my brain has run off again....

It's been taken as a given that neither Clint nor Natasha have any family left - which is convenient for them, as there is no 'meet the family' to worry about.

But (to shamelessly take from my own headcanon) Natasha had sister-relationships with some of the other girls in the Red Room, and Nat was hardly the only one to escape.

Turns out Clint's going to have to meet the family after all.

Nick Fury lied. Coulson isn't dead. Either he gets bored during his recovery period (since everyone thinking he's dead means a lack of visitors and entertainment and being able to do any kind of work, even paperwork) or he can't go back to SHIELD because of his injuries and retires under a false name. And starts writing a newspaper column or memoirs or a blog about 'things that happened whilst I was at work' kind of thing, past missions maybe, coding everything so that it's all false names and details and nothing classified is mentioned and SHIELD doesn't come up and there's nothing that anyone, not every Fury, could call him on. But. There's a theme when it comes to two people he refers to a lot who could well be Clint and Natasha...

(And then possibly Clint and/or Natasha start reading it or one of the team does and makes the connection...and the realisation isn't just that Coulson is alive, but also the subtext to some of the thing he's been writing. Does Coulson even know he's been dropping it in, or does he not notice because he's blinded be it being the norm or by being on medication or has he let slip on purpose? Or short version: Coulson gets Natasha and Clint to finally get together *grins*)
