Welcome, thou of the faithful 500 (ish. We're actually up to 522 now.) 

As of 2:39 EDT, the Promptathon will be closed and the fills must be submitted to the main post by that time.

THAT BEING SAID, if you still haven't finished stuff, don't worry. You can still write it and post, it, just not in the main post. I think ashen_key is still cool with updating AO3 after today, and I'll probably go ahead and update the LJ master posts as I can. (Sorry for not having updated in the past day or so; life has been crazy--I promise I will soon!)

So what happens now? Now my friends, we party. And I'm not gonna lie, this won't be easy. There will be squee, there will be silliness, there will be pics and gifs and feels and highly problematic men and gorgeous kickass women and impromptu dance parties and friend memes and conversations with new and interesting people. SHIT IS GOING TO GET REAL.

BUT WE CAN GET THROUGH THIS... TOGETHER.

I'm proud as hell of this bar, I am proud to have assisted with this Promptathon, and each and every one of you rock beyond belief.  All the love, my friends. Now let's get down to business. PARTY ON.

So epic comment-a-thon/impromtu dance party/spur-of-the-moment friending meme happened. And I don't know about y'all, but I feel like I'm rummaging through the kitchen for the last bottle of water (after drinking nothing but Coronas and vodka tonics all weekend.) Whew, I is exhausted. How are y'all?

(Incidentally, I am proud as hell that we rose to the occasion and partied that hard and that awesomely for pretty much four days straight.)

How's everyone doing this fine Monday morning? Just wanted to remind you that this is the last week of Promptathon, so be sure and get your fills posted by Friday. Also, be sure and check out whet's been posted so far; it's great stuff.

Hey all!

Now that the prompting is over, I've split the list of prompts (all 4 pages, omg!) into the prompts that have been filled and those that haven't. I'm hoping this will help people who want to use the next 9 days or so to focus on the latter. Of course, there's nothing wrong with filling a prompt that's already been filled... on the other hand, sometimes it's nice to spread the love around :)

A few notes:

- I will be keeping up with Bee's master list as best as I can to keep these lists up to date.

- If a story fills multiple prompts, for the sake of my sanity I'm just going to say that, rather than list each one. If you can think of a better way of doing that - one that won't drive me insane - please let me know!

- Stories are listed by prompt, meaning more or less chronologically by when the prompt was posted.

- If I missed a story, there's a problem with a link, etc, please drop me a comment :)

Your Friendly Neighborhood Promptathon Overlord here....

Prompting ends today at 2:39 P.M. CDT, so you still have a few hours left to get them in under the wire! Also be sure and check out all the fantastic prompts that remain unfilled, as allisnowhas put together a handy-dandy list HERE, and check out the awesome fic and fanwork that keeps rolling in over at the Master Post Parts 1 & 2 (and I promise I will update with the new stuff straightaway! Sorry I wasn't around to do it last night.)

Make sue you get those prompts in by 2:30 P.M (CDT).  If you can't make it, have a buddy post the prompt for you. After 2:39 prompting time will be closed and any prompts will be deleted (it's sad and dramatic but, well, sadness and drama are sometimes necessary to help us stay focused. They also make for great miniseries.)

Meanwhile, to distract everyone from the inevitable despair that comes with the last day of prompting, I want to wish everyone a HAPPY BOURNE LEGACY DAY!!!  It's not open everywhere yet, I know, but that won't stop me from using any excuse I can to slip into the shallow end of the pool.

Hey Promptathon peeps-- 

I was off the grid a few days and am now catching up on comments and linking new fics to the Master Post. Give me a couple of hours, and if you still don't see your stuff, feel free to yell at me. ;)

In the meantime, have some Jeremy Renner and Betty White. (To be filed under Things I Never Knew I Needed until It Happened and Now I Don't Know How I Ever Lived Without It.)

Okay, so I can stop bothering all you lovely people (not that you don't enjoy my daily flistspams, I'm sure), but I finally remembered that whole sticky post option, so that's what I did with the Promptathon post, which now includes a link to the Master List of fanworks too.

So every time you click on the comm, it should show up at the top. Let me know if it's not doing this and I'll ... do something ... technical. And stuff. Until it works.

Right now we're closing in on 2,000 comments in the main post (and I feel like that should be a call for a whole separate party but I will spare you from yet moar flailing on your internets), but suffice it to say, we are rocking this casbah. Trufax. Like whoa. With feelings. Because reasons.

Promptathon update--

We're closing in on 1,900 comments and the amazing prompts continue to roll in.

We've got 33 fics/ficlets/drabbles so far, 1 piece of artwork, and 1 massive batch of icons. This stuff is amazing, y'all. Please check it out, and consider leaving some love for those who have been working so hard to bring us these shiny delights. I'm about 2/3 of the way through the current list, and I continue to be blown away by the level of talent here. **HIGH FIVES EVERYONE IN THIS BAR**

Bookmark this post, y'all, and check it often. I'm updating every day with new stuff as it's posted (also for now I'm listing it in the order it was posted, so if you've been following along at home, just check the bottom of the list. ARE YOU READY?


Yeeeeeeeeah. I'm pretty much going to be doing this all day. Sorry 'bout that.

This be the RULES FOR POSTING YO' STUFF TO PROMPTATHON post.

When you can post:
The inital post was made at 2:39 PM EDT last Friday, so at precisely 2:39 P.M. EDT on Friday, July 20th is when you can post your stuff.  EDT means EDT (North Atlantic).  I'll send a reminder post right before to let you know it's time.  Here's a handy dandy time zone converter to figure out when this is happening on an internet near you.

How to post:
1.  Respond in a comment to the prompt you are filling.
2.  Make sure to label your submission in the subject line with the type of fanwork (fic/icon/artwork/vid/fanmix/etc.) + the title.  For example:

"FIC: 5 Times Clint and Natasha Were Awesome Badass Asaassinpeople (and One Time They Were Extra-Awesome), rated: M, no warnings"

When filling in the subject line, you may need to view the comm in it's original style (if you don't already). Just make sure you can see a subject line when responding with your submission.

3. Be sure to leave ratings and warnings (if any) in the subject line. (See example above.)  Help us out and make sure folks know what they're clicking on. Thoughtfulness = LOVE.  <3333  If the ratings or the warnings won't fit in the subject line, just leave them at the top of your post.

4.  Try and post the entire work in the comment (if it's short enough), or if not, post a link. I'm all about one-stop shopping whenever possible, so try and post in the main promptathon post if the length allows.  Also, if it is too long to post in the promptathon post, consider posting the first section as a teaser and then a link (b/c that's alwasy fun too.)  Either way, be sure to label your post in the subject line as described above (**points to rule #2**).

In addition, you can always post directly to the comm, but let's wait a couple of days first. I don't want to get flooded with new posts right out of the gate.  For now, let's try and keep all of the action at the actual promptathon post. You can repost and archive and preserve for posterity's sake to you heart's content, but just not immediately, m'kay?

Remember:

• A single prompt can be filled by more than one person, so no worries if a prompt you like already has a submission. We are all about moar submissions! The more the merrier!
• Be sure to wait until it's time to post. Early submissions will be deleted.  (Patience is a virtue, grasshopper.)
• lar_laughsis still manning the Declicious site that's organizing all the prompts here which is great for reference.
• ashen_key has also created a gorgeous AO3 collection, so if you post over there too, be sure to tag your stuff!  :D

We're accepting prompts all week (and beyond) and the submissions start rolling in on Friday (and yes, there will be an epic party, so just go ahead and mark that one on your calendars right now.)  Also, with so many prompts to keep track of, any ideas about how to best index these and make them easier to find and keep them from getting lost in the shuffle would be greatly appreciated (and we might need some volunteers on this front as well).
