NOTE: PROMPTING HAS NOW CLOSED, BUT FICS AND FANWORKS MAY STILL BE SUBMITTED THROUGH AUGUST 31ST. THANKS!
Welcome!!!! The time is now upon us. This will kick off a month's worth of prompting and fanworking and all the good things. Not sure what to do? Click below for our handy-dandy Promptathon Guide!
RULES ON POSTING SUBMISSIONS
(please read before you post! <3)
The Rules. Just follow these three easy steps!
1. Leave a Prompt.
Prompts can be anything--simple or elaborate, words or pictures, songs or poems, lyrics or phrases. Anything that, to you, inspires a C/N fanwork. Use your imagination. Go crazy. All I ask is that you keep it tasteful and warn for anything explicit or triggery. Also, try to be as specific as you can with your prompts--this is often very helpful to those creating the fanwork.
And leave as many prompts as you want. I’m serious. Keep coming back, y’all. We want all the prompts we can possibly get Also, be sure to leave each prompt as a separate comment.
2. Wait a week.
Tailgate and chitchat and keep leaving prompts. And mull over the epic fanworks you are creating.
3. Submit C/N fanwork like there is no tomorrow.
All submissions should either be posted here or linked to this post via a comment. The nitty gritty details of posting your stuff can be found HERE. Please read before you post
Timeframe:
Prompts will be accepted starting today, Friday, July 13th (!!!) and will remain open until Friday, August 10th. Submissions may be submitted beginning on Friday, July 20th and may continue to be submitted until August 10th.
What we hope to accomplish with all this promptathon-iness:
- A chance to get in the game. Been wanting to jump into the C/N fanwork scene but not sure where to start? Now’s the time. There’s no length requirement on the works submitted, you can focus on drabbles and vidlets and short and sweet projects (or do longer more epic stuff if that strikes your fancy as well). It’s really entirely up to you. We’re just hoping to provide a fun, no-pressure environment.
- Meet new and awesome people. Because srsly, I love everyone in this bar. It's a good damn bar. Don't be afraid to say hello
- Ship like you’ve never shipped before.
- Tailgate when appropriate. My motto is, if something ain’t a cocktail party, you just aren’t trying hard enough. In that spirit,
aurora_0811and I are hosting the tailgate section (which I think at this point just includes random chatter and ridiculousness, cheerleading and tomfoolery, because I doubt our comm’s talkative nature will be suppressed even during the prompting/waiting period.) So pull up a helicarrier-shaped lawnchair, crack open a cold one and settle in for the festivities. And leave prompts.
And most of all, have fun. :)
Fill: Fic. Bringing Home the Intel (PG-13. Only warning is for a little ooc) 2/2
“It would look suspicious if we left straight away. Has SHIELD taught you nothing?”
“Not all of us can be a super-spy from age thirteen.”
“Clearly.”
They continued dancing, slightly off the rhythm.
“Nice work with Saunders,” Clint said at last, attempting to make peace.
“Thank you,” Natasha said, taking the compliment as her due.
“I thought his eyes were going to pop out of his sockets when you walked up to him,” Clint joked. “Then the ‘I might be planning a trip soon.’ Smooth.”
Natasha muffled her snort of agreement in Clint’s shoulder. They danced in silence until the music changed and Natasha pressed herself closer against him.
“Jesus Nat, I feel enough like a dirty old man as it is,” Clint hissed.
“If you haven’t noticed, I’m twenty-five and old enough to make my own decisions,” Natasha said, the venom in her words belying her placid smile.
“You’re a kid who was forced to grow up too damn fast.”
“Bullshit. I see the way you look at me. Everyone sees the way you look at me.”
“Let’s just get out of here? The mission is over.” Clint continued their whispered conversation, strain audible in his voice.
‘If you want to leave we can leave, but if you haven’t noticed, there is a hot redhead who likes dancing throwing herself at you,” Natasha said softly, looking up through her eyelashes at Clint.
Clint closed his eyes, but not before Natasha saw the telltale dilation of his pupils.
A grey and wrinkled woman, glorious in her sequined gown and partnered with a handsome man in his early thirties, danced deliberately towards to Natalie.
“Honey, I believe the phrase is ‘get a room.’ Unless you want to be thrown out of here for public indecency; that can be fun too,” the old woman said with a wink.
Natalie blushed. Cameron looked around and saw the couples around them were maintaining at least three inches of distance between them. A few of the older couples were looking at the Tanners with disdain.
“My wife had a little too much champagne,” Cameron explained to the woman with the sequined gown. “We were just leaving.”
Natalie pouted at him but he was already steering her towards the door.
---
Clint woke up and began to catalog his injuries. Assorted bruises, scratches down his back a bite mark on his shoulder. Gently, as if he still couldn’t believe he could, he ran his fingers along Natasha’s back. She stirred, slapped his hand away, and went back to sleep.
Re: Fill: Fic. Bringing Home the Intel (PG-13. Only warning is for a little ooc) 2/2
I have a major thing for Clint and Nat having an age gap, so I liked Clint saying he felt like a dirty old man. ;)

Thank You Thank You Thank You!! My favorite play and my OTP had a ficbaby and it's adorable!
I love Love LOVE that she's the one making the first move. Usually we see it as Clint, but I love assertive Natasha. But I wouldn't label them as OOC here at all...it still works with what we know about them!
Also, can I take the old lady home with me? She's perfection.
Re: Fill: Fic. Bringing Home the Intel (PG-13. Only warning is for a little ooc) 2/2
I'm sure the old lady would be happy to go home with you, but she'll probably disappear by morning ;)
Thanks for the gif/ love. :D

Re: Fill: Fic. Bringing Home the Intel (PG-13. Only warning is for a little ooc) 2/2
Now I just want to see fic where Natasha plots to seduce Clint, then Clint is all like "you don't have to work that hard," and Natasha is like* "shhhhh. It's fun."
*I'm secretly a valley girl.
