Greetings, best bar on earth!!  Man I have missed this place. This time of year is always so crazy-busy, and there's always so much to get done that it seems to fly by in a kind of haze (I know I've pretty much been doing my own zombie walk just trying to make it through, and a huge shoutout to Bob for some much needed fic therapy; it's totally keeping my ass sane right now.)

But how goes it, y'all? shenshen77and I were talking the other day and she had mentioned that we hadn't had a good old-fashioned friending meme in a while, and I thought that sounded like a dandy idea. I also think we need a good impromptu dance party and a chance to chat and hang out with old friends and make new ones and just be our awesome selves.

So please come by and introduce yourself. Say a few words about how you found this place or this ship and what your interests are. Check out other people's comments. Feel free to stalk them (in a non-creepy and completely respectful way) and comment crash-- hell, this place was built on comment-crashing (you think I'm kidding but I'm not.) There is no form to fill out becuase I'm allergic to forms. Free jazz all the way, bb. ;)

ETA on the introductions: no need to go into detail on the personal stuff. share as much as you feel comfortable with. i always like being a little cautious on that front, this being the internets and all. <3

Oh man, that fight scene. I just want like... a whole extra 5 minutes of that fight scene. OR, YOU KNOW, A WHOLE OTHER FILM.

I keep thinking about Whedon killing them off but... this isn't one of his shows. I don't know if Marvel will let him do that. I mean, he killed off Phil, but I don't think he's going to stay dead. So.. I'm optimistic. Less so for more Hawkeye though. I feel he's the expendable character. Because Nat is the only female Avenger so far so they can't drop her. BUT I LOVE HAWKEYE.

A whole 'nother film? What do you speak of? Don't you know if it isn't about a white guy with powers then no one will go see it. A movie where the mortal hero accomplishes their goals through guile as much as through martial arts moves? Whose talents lie in espionage and sneaking around? What would you even call that type of movie? Sounds fishy if you ask me.

Obvs. I mean, they'd really like to do a Black Widow (or a Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Scarlet Witch etc.) movie, but there just isn't a market for it. White men are just so compelling, and it's not like there's an actress that can carry a Marvel film anyway. Amiright?

Completely stopping our sarcastic basing of Marvel and the film industry to say: A Black Panther film would be fucking badass.

And now I am going to show my ignorance. Captain Marvel is Carol Danvers right? With the blonde hair and lightning bolt top? She seems cool. And I know nothing about the Scarlet Witch other than she has a odd head piece. Ha. And everything I know about the Black Panther comes from Earth's Mightiest Heroes. :P

But what am I saying? No market. No market at all.

Captain Marvel is a bunch of different people. At the moment she's Carol Danvers and has an awesome well-drawn comic. As for her outfit, google is your friend. At the moment she has short blonde hair, pants and a star. At least I think so, I'm not really dialed into the comicsverse, I kind of pick up a comic here and there like a magpie.
