So, this ship. This ship is everything I love in a ship. I seem to have an affinity for the friendship-to-romance type of ships. Something about that idea just clicks for me. It works. I'm in a whole lot of fandoms, and in many of them this type of ship becomes my OTP. This type of relationship takes longer to develop, which makes for some awesome fics, and then when love does happen it is totally worth it.

Lets see. Interest. Besides Marvel Movieverse, I'm into Doctor Who, Buffy, Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate, Legend of the Seeker, Harry Potter, Once Upon a Time, Supernatural, Castle, Criminal Minds, Babylon 5, and Grey's Anatomy. Yes, lots of fandom. I like fandom. Fandom is life.

Other things about me? I'm currently in law school and losing my mind. I live in Boston.

that's an awesome amouts of fandoms! i think out of all of those i can only partially claim DW, HP and buffy, and then mostly as an interested observer. but you are right fandom is life. so many good things happen here. <3

Hi. I'm Bee. I kind of might have started obsessing about these two a couple of weeks before the film came out and then the film came out and my disease was full blown and I MIGHT have hunted down similarly minded people and worked my dark magic until they succumbed to my will tempted them with cookies and sweetness until we started this place.

And then people found it. And there was much rejoicing. And it's basically been my happy place ever since.

Fandom contributions:
Being a professional instigator and enabler, bringing some metaphorical punch and pie to the table at a moment's notice. I also write fic. (Lately just with bob5fic on a story that will kill us both.) And I really love this bar and everyone in it.

My LJ's pretty much all fannish; I don't talk about RL stuff much. But I will fangirl out the wazoo with the slightest provocation. :)

I can't remember how I found this bar, probably because of my Renner feels and my totally unrelated Hawkeye feels I started looking for fic. And I came upon this lovely bar and have been a faithful patron ever since :) I love the Clint/Natasha pairing, they make for excellent stories and now I'm addicted! All the slow build, the UST, the relationship, the everything! I love this bar!

Hey all I'm Cait! I was definitely drawn into Avengers in part by Jeremy's darling stupid face (you know aside from my love of action movies but whatever) and afterwards started reading anything with him in it that I could find. That eventually in very round-a-bout ways lead me here!

I'll admit I was not as captivated *coughobsessedcough* with Tasha as I was Clint at first, but this is one of those times where the fandom is making me fall more in love with her the more I read. I have yet to write the pair of them together though as sometimes the BroTP between them almost means more to me than a romance if that makes any sense at all. I had those strong means-the-world friendships with guys growing up so I can see that between them too, but I will NEVER turn away well written romance too lol.

On a related but somewhat off topic note - is anyone else freaking the hell out about their SS????? Part of it's probably that I haven't written this pairing before but damned if the story is fighting me tooth and nail!

Yeah, I'm right there with you when it comes to freaking the hell out. I'm still stuck somewhere in the beginning of the story and since I've got an important exam next week I will have about two days to finish it. Wouldn't be a problem if I at least knew where I was going with it. But judging by how it has been going so far... *headdesk*

Yello! Caroline/franztastisch here. I'm here because Joss Whedon (Sir Amazing of Amzingness) made me fall in love with Clint/Nat in ONE FUCKING SCENE. And then with Nat generally because she is a BAMF. And then Clint because he is awesome. And also Jeremy Renner. :D

OK. Me? All I'm prepared to disclose publicly (as I have on some profile pages) is that I'm a lawyer, with a specialization in international law -- international peace and security, armed conflict, human rights, war crimes/crimes against humanity/terrorism/organized crime and all sorts of other shit that would curl your toes as much as it does mine on occasion).

So. All that RL angst needs an outlet, and apart from cuddling my kid and finding the Perfect Cabernet Sauvignon, fan geekdom it had to be. Just had to.

First there was Star Trek (wasn't it always?), especially Voyager. If you find my stories on FFN or AO3 the extent of my obsession with that will be Very Obvious. Then I saw Avengers. And -- hell, I still don't know what happened except initially I got blown away by the real life angle of the Iron Man opener (hello Afghanistan -- source of much work...) and then there was Tony's line "You lie and you kill in the service of liars and killers..." And bingo, just like that I found my new playground.

Interms of latching on to a character to write for, I must have a thing for Damaged Males, so I fixated on Hawkeye and pretty soon had written myself into a corner I can't seem to get out of. (My Voyager stories have suffered -- eep!!!)

Found this bar through all the references to the "be_compromised promptathon" and decided to revive my Mostly Dead LJ account. Haven't looked back since! I joined a day after SS closed, alas, but may leave something "under the tree" for y'all. Love the lot of you -- would hug and *friend* you all but I have no clue what that actually means in LJ terms, so I haven't. I did meet Shenshen in the flesh though -- I trust that counts?? :-)

I found this place through my friend daxcat79, have lurked at first and couldn't believe how awesome it was, and then one day I gathered up my courage and posted a question. Fandom: I'm a writer, first and foremost. Writing keeps me sane. I usually have ton of ideas and too little time and I feel frustrated when I can't write, for whatever reason. You'll find me writing all kinds of stuff, but my trademarks are (I think) smut and babyfic (eeep! I love that stuff. I'll convert you into babyfic like you wouldn't believe. *G*) I'm your resident pic and gif spammer as well, when I have time. I like making people happy, I enjoy discussions of fannish kind and you'll find it's easy to put fic ideas in my head.

LJ: I write about both fannish and personal stuff. Personal LJ is flocked and I prefer knowing people I'm friending, aka, talking to them a little bit and learning what common interests we might have.

I like: music, movies, TV, books, coffee, nature, travel, science, art - actually I like tons of stuff. You can call me a nerd per John Greene's definition, I'm amazed by wonder of human consciousness.

I don't like: people with large and unfounded sense of entitlement and bullies (to make that list really short, lol!)

Hello, hello, hello! I got started in this fandom because some friends and strangers were chatting about wanting graphics for a community for a pairing in a film that I hadn't seen yet. Best bit of volunteering I ever did - I love this bar <3

You'll find me writing fic (slowly), sometimes beta-reading (check out this bar's beta directory), making icons (in ur commentz leaving iconz), posting recs (here, but the recs on my journal are often broader), often commenting on fics with far too long comments (I get excited), and generally comment crashing.

On my journal I tend to only friends-lock some non-fandom posts and posts about offline things. To give you an idea of what might crop up in those: I studied geography, just finished a Masters, and now I'm job hunting. I have a huge family, I'm a fan of equality in all things, I love books, and I've started giving into loving comics.

I'm REALLY EXCITED about the upcoming Secret Santa holiday exchange! So far I've devoted more time to making graphics and researching for my fic than actually writing it *whistles innocently* but I love the requests that I got and i'm looking forward to our seasonal extravaganza.

I'm not sure how, but I managed to stumble upon some Clint/Natasha fic and got hooked on the characters that way. After a week or so of reading just about everything I could find (feeding the obsession) I decided I had to see the movie and was totally blown away by Jeremy and Scarlett.

I checked out be-compromised after seeing so many posts about the prompt-a-thon and decided I needed to break out of lurkerdom and participate. I've really enjoyed this bar and the people here.

Hello, hello -- I've been knocking around fandom for a (*koff*)REALLYLONGTIME(*koff*) and have read comic books for even longer -- I'm the mom who rounds up all the kids and takes them to the summer comic movie because I'm going to be there anyway and I might as well enjoy the enthusiasm kids bring to the table -- so I was primed for this whole MCU run of awesomeness but it has exceeded all possible expectations. I don't remember how I found this comm, but I've been known to obsessively hunt down new comms when something pretty and shiny catches my attention and OMG, Renner took over my brain this year. Seriously. I think I've posted maybe 2 stories this year that haven't featured one of his characters.

I have yet to find my groove with an actual Clint/Natasha fic (though I am still trying, thank you to everyone who was so encouraging during my turn at Unfinished Fic Wednesday) but I'm actually pretty happy with them when I'm writing one or the other of them with another character (because they ARE an integral part of each other's lives and I can't not write one without the other somehow.)

Don't let the DC name fool you, while I started out as a DC girl as a kid, I'm more a Marvel comics girl now (am I the only one who thinks DC comics has become overly gory, anyway XD).

While Natasha is a master assassin, I'm a master lurker.

I will friend and adore anyone who loves Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston ( you don't have to even love Loki, just adore the awesomeness that is Tom), Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Gary Oldman. While watching the movie for the fourth or fifth time, I decided I wanted to write Avenger fanfic and Clint/Natasha was going to be my go-to couple. I decided to go searching for a comm and happened upon this little tiny hole-in-the-wall bar that seemed friendly. There weren't many people around but I posted my story. A few weeks later, I was part of an exhilarating conversation about what kind of car Clint drives and I KNEW this was the bar for me!

I'm single. I have a small dog. I'm the oldest of three girls. I have two nephews by blood and a dozen or so children of varying ages that also call me Aunt.

Drat, I don't have time to read all of these comments, but I'm going to say hi anyway. I'm Sneaky, and I'm currently studying in the US. I've spent the past few years lurking in fandom spaces and writing fanfic that never saw the light of day. Then I commented anonymously at this bar, and was drawn in my the aggressive friendliness. I found myself writing lots of fanfic and creating an lj account. IDEK. It's glorious.

I love Natasha and all of the Avengers. But especially Natasha. I also have a fondness for Once Upon a Time and the Good Wife. There aren't enough characters to go into all the books and authors that I love, but I read my entire primary (elementary) school library by the time I was in fourth grade. Reading is less of a hobby and more of an obsession, especially with all the wonderful fanfic strewn around the internet. *waves*

Hi, I'm Sugar Fey (Sugar will do), and my LJ was the site where this fabulous bar was thought up. That is my claim to Clintasha fame, I guess.

So, this fandom. I wasn't planning on getting involved at all. I enjoyed the Iron Man movies (yes, even Iron Man 2, terrible as it is), was 'meh' about Thor and Captain America, still haven't seen Incredible Hulk. I am, however, a huge fan of Joss Whedon, so I was excited to see The Avengers.

Well, this ship you guys. I didn't stand a chance. I fell in love with Natasha from her very first scene because she was so well written and my fangirl heart had been longing for a decent female superhero after it had been repeatedly broken by awful, awful writing on the current X-Men comics (ugh). I wanted to cheer at the end of her scene with Loki.

I was also intrigued by "Agent Barton was sent to kill me, he made a different call." Then Clint and Natasha had their scene together and I was gone. I have a major thing for partners with UST and complicated antiheroes, so there was no way I could leave the theatre not shipping them. Damn you, Joss!

So, my journal: I'm Australian, hence the time difference. I'm currently doing my Masters thesis in English, looking at feminist fantasy literature. This has taken over my life, so my RL posts are mainly thesis related. Because I'm surrounded by feminist theory all day, I find it hard to turn off my feminist nerd rage, so there will be many outpourings, particularly related to fandom treating female characters like crap, and comics doing the same. This bar is such a welcome change from that! *drinks beer*

I shall pitch in anyway. I'm Sept and I am a Marvel Zombie from way back. Natasha has always been one of my faves, to the point that when I do RPG, my first character in a new game is almost always influenced by some aspect of her. I got into Hawkeye...um...longer ago than I care to admit, because I loved that he was a hero with no powers keeping up and surpassing the supers, simply because he could.

I kinda thought I was the only one who left the theater after THOR, going "That was Hawkeye, that was totally Hawkeye. OMG who was that BEING Hawkeye?!?" I admit I did not ship them together until Joss Whedon crossed the streams of awesome. All it took was ScarJo's face when Coulson said "Barton's been Compromised." and I was sunk. And then Jeremy Renner took over a large part of my brain. Life_Ruiner OMG. And then I found the best bar in the world. The End.

I have done one tiny little fic, over at AO3, under the name shadoedseptmbr. I plan on more, but I also write for another archer/assassin pairing and I keep getting my plotlines crossed, sigh. ANYWAY. I love this bar and all of you and I only stalk with respect and love.

That's one of the reasons why I love movie!Natasha and Clint. They're superheroes because of their strength of will, not through accident. Bad add normals are my favs.

Hello everyone! I'm Emily, and I'm the similarly minded person that Bee mentioned back in her thread-- I BLAME IT ALL ON HER and nothing she can say will convince me otherwise (there's a reason we call her patient zero)! She dragged me into this a few weeks before the movie had even come out (when all this ship had were pictures and a few fics)... and before I knew it, I was a goner.

I think what drew me to Clint and Natasha (and shipping them) is how they are equals, in pretty much every way, and how their relationship on screen was beautifully subtle, but it was clear that the emotions ran deep and that there was a lot of history between them that we didn't know yet. I loved all the missing pieces and being able to come up with little explanations and head!canons to put them all together. Plus, all of those little blind spots and lines (Budapest, different choice) made for some really great fic, and really great fic = happy kl_shipper!

As far as my own contributions to fandom go, they're currently limited to icons and graphics (located at my journal), but *fingers crossed* I hope to start writing these two in the near future! But when my muse is not cooperating with me (because she's a fickle creature whom I have to bribe with cookies to come out and play), you can always count on me to bring on a nice healthy dose of squee and/or pretty!

*nods* Someday, people will look back at civilization and realize that the one bright shining moment of the whole span was the little bar in the corner of rather immense fandom where a bunch of really cool people hung out and did stuff together.

So - I'm a high school Drama teacher, which is why I'm often late to the party. Case in point: both of my Drama Fundamentals classes performed plays tonight - it was a long freakin' night. But they ROCKED, so all is good. :D (Although I do have to do it again tomorrow, so hmmm...)

After I went to see the Avengers, I immediately went home and started looking for Clint/Natasha webby goodness. For good or ill, what gets me into a fandom is a pairing that captures my imagination. My entry into fandom in general was Veronica Mars and Logan/Veronica. While there are other pairings that I love (Harry/Ginny, Jim/Pam, B'elanna/Tom, Katniss/Peeta to name some of my faves), none has inflamed the senses, so to speak, like Logan and Veronica did until Clint and Natasha came along. Sometimes things just click, you know? And this pair did (and continues to do so) for me. As someone posted above (and I'm sorry I don't remember who it was – I am REALLY tired!), this pairing takes work and fandom does an AWESOME job of showing that. I love it.

It also helps that this fandom is eternally awesome and that this bar fricking ROCKS. I can't tell you how many times it's saved me after a long and harrowing days navigating the halls of a high school in sub/rural Georgia (combination of suburban and rural – it's unique.) :-) I love it here.

Full disclosure: because of my insanely demanding job, I have zero time to check my Friends page. I check this site RELIGIOUSLY b/c what little discretionary time I *do* have I tend to spend here or on AO3. 'Cause reasons. :-) (And yes, I really am that cheerful, hence the over-abundance of smiley emoticons.) :D

So I'm a teacher, a Sunday School teacher (of the 4- and 5-year-olds, no less) :-), a mad 'shipper, a weirdly cheerful person, a hardcore Hufflepuff (hey, we keep the trains running on time!), the oldest of five, and I suck at getting up in the morning. Which, since I have to be at school at 6:45 a.m. (and have for 12 years now), really sucks. But there you have it!
