ATTF: friending time.

Greetings, best bar on earth!! Man I have missed this place. This time of year is always so crazy-busy, and there's always so much to get done that it seems to fly by in a kind of haze (I know I've pretty much been doing my own zombie walk just trying to make it through, and a huge shoutout to Bob for some much needed fic therapy; it's totally keeping my ass sane right now.)

But how goes it, y'all?

shenshen77and I were talking the other day and she had mentioned that we hadn't had a good old-fashioned friending meme in a while, and I thought that sounded like a dandy idea. I also think we need a good impromptu dance party and a chance to chat and hang out with old friends and make new ones and just be our awesome selves.

So please come by and introduce yourself. Say a few words about how you found this place or this ship and what your interests are. Check out other people's comments. Feel free to stalk them (in a non-creepy and completely respectful way) and comment crash-- hell, this place was built on comment-crashing (you think I'm kidding but I'm not.) There is no form to fill out becuase I'm allergic to forms. Free jazz all the way, bb. ;)

Yay! Friending memes!

I can't even remember how I found this yacht, but I can say this. I love Barton as a character so much I want him to get with everybody, and if he's going to do it w a woman it better be Natasha cause I have pheels about that. She's badass.

Other than that, I'm just laying here drinking coffee on my mom's couch because my sister is getting married tomorrow and I had to get into town yesterday for the rehearsal. So little sleep. So thankful I have a smart phone. :)

So, this ship. This ship is everything I love in a ship. I seem to have an affinity for the friendship-to-romance type of ships. Something about that idea just clicks for me. It works. I'm in a whole lot of fandoms, and in many of them this type of ship becomes my OTP. This type of relationship takes longer to develop, which makes for some awesome fics, and then when love does happen it is totally worth it.

Lets see. Interest. Besides Marvel Movieverse, I'm into Doctor Who, Buffy, Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate, Legend of the Seeker, Harry Potter, Once Upon a Time, Supernatural, Castle, Criminal Minds, Babylon 5, and Grey's Anatomy. Yes, lots of fandom. I like fandom. Fandom is life.

Other things about me? I'm currently in law school and losing my mind. I live in Boston.

Hi. I'm Bee. I kind of might have started obsessing about these two a couple of weeks before the film came out and then the film came out and my disease was full blown and I MIGHT have hunted down similarly minded people and ~~worked my dark magic until they succumbed to my will~~ tempted them with cookies and sweetness until we started this place.

And then people found it. And there was much rejoicing. And it's basically been my happy place ever since.

Fandom contributions:
Being a professional instigator and enabler, bringing some metaphorical punch and pie to the table at a moment's notice. I also write fic. (Lately just with

bob5fic on a story that will kill us both.) And I really love this bar and everyone in it.

My LJ's pretty much all fannish; I don't talk about RL stuff much. But I will fangirl out the wazoo with the slightest provocation. :)

Long walks on the beach, thinky thoughts, politeness, self-deprecation and a wicked sense of humor.

Dislikes:
Willful ignorance and a refusal to consider a point of view other than one's own. I also have an intense hatred of skorts. Don't ask.

omg so much yes to this. and it gives you such a broad canvas to play with story wise. so many possibilities.

that's an awesome amouts of fandoms! i think out of all of those i can only partially claim DW, HP and buffy, and then mostly as an interested observer. but you are right fandom is life. so many good things happen here. <3

I get obsessed with things. Usually 2-3 of them are at the top at any given time and which ones that is rotates depending on what I watched/read most recently.

How you feel about Clint is almost exactly how I feel about Natasha. She's awesome and I want her to get together with everyone. But particularly with Clint. Because they are both awesome badassses who would be awesome together.

sweet. i kind of do that too, but it's usually like a passing interest. like i'll spend a couple of weeks and then move on. but every now and then you find something that sticks in your brain and it just won't go away and you know that you're a goner... ;)

Things never go away for me unless I wasn't really fan in the first place. I'm always re-watching old things and falling in love all over again. But yes, some things stick in your head more than others.

Thinky thoughts are always better than non-thinky thoughts.

There is something serious wrong with the whole concept of skorts. I will never understand it!

So, I'm the one who mentioned that we needed an impromptu dance party ;) And I am all for it, even though I have a Christmas Market right in front of my window at the moment and friends coming over later tonight :D I'll just have them join us or bore them to death with fanwomaning and get them to leave ;D

I can't remember how I found this bar, probably because of my Renner feels and my totally unrelated Hawkeye feels I started looking for fic. And I came upon this lovely bar and have been a faithful patron ever since :) I love the Clint/Natasha pairing, they make for excellent stories and now I'm addicted! All the slow build, the UST, the relationship, the everything! I love this bar!

Hey all I'm Cait! I was definitely drawn into Avengers in part by Jeremy's darling stupid face (you know aside from my love of action movies but whatever) and afterwards started reading anything with him in it that I could find. That eventually in very round-a-bout ways lead me here!

I'll admit I was not as captivated *coughobsessedcough* with Tasha as I was Clint at first, but this is one of those times where the fandom is making me fall more in love with her the more I read. I have yet to write the pair of them together though as sometimes the BroTP between them almost means more to me than a romance if that makes any sense at all. I had those strong means-the-world friendships with guys growing up so I can see that between them too, but I will NEVER turn away well written romance too lol.

On a related but somewhat off topic note - is anyone else freaking the hell out about their SS????? Part of it's probably that I haven't written this pairing before but damned if the story is fighting me tooth and nail!

omg dude, i know. i have to keep a lid on it. i did convert my mom into a renner fangirl though, and i am very proud of this fact. she had to go see bourne twice to make sure she caught all the plot points. uh huh. **nods**
