Not sure why folks think he's supposed to be a bum or a homeless guy in the vid -- he looks quite well fed and dressed (however eccentrically) and those shades and that guitar ain't cheap. I see people -- amateurs, students, professional musicians -- sitting on the street making music all the time (okay, not right now 'coz we have two feet of snow on the ground and that'd be just nuts). When they're done, they pack up their considerable earnings and go home. Or go and pick up a gig with a gang of other musicians ... :-)
