Hello, hello, hello folks of the bar! As we creep towards Halloween this weekend we bring you a Trick or Treat event:

How To Play:
- Choose 'trick' or 'treat' and pick a number from 1 to 10
- Comment to this post with your choice
- Look behind the cut to see which trick or treat surprise prompt you've picked! These will be simple one or two word prompts. Tricks will be darker (eg vampire, night) and treats lighter (eg toffee apple, costume), but you can interpret them however you like.
- Reply to your comment with a flash fic OR a three sentence fic OR a rec (fic, art, fanvid, anything) related to your prompt
- It would be good to celebrate this Halloween weekend, but we're setting a final cut off date of midnight (whatever your timezone) Sunday 22 November. If you've not fllled prompts by then, Halloween has gone, whoosh, don't worry about it because Secret Santa is around the corner...

Rules:
- Prompts will go live behind the cut on Friday, but you're welcome to join the fun after that as well, just try not to be a sneaky master assassin and don't peek behind the cut before you've made your choice ;)
- You can pick as many tricks and treats as you like or just stick with one, or you complete one and then come back for more
- The rules of the Comm apply, so please provide a rating and either no warnings apply (NWA) / choose not to warn (CNTW) / warnings (ie as on AO3) so no one gets an unwanted fright
- Please comment to this post with any questions

8tracks Imminent Closure

Hi all!

Just in case you haven’t seen the news, 8tracks (the playlist website) announced today that they will no longer exist as of 12/31 of this year. They made a blog post here detailing why this is happening and how to back up your playlists and other users playlist. They also sent out an email to all of their users with tracklists for their playlists as well.

I’m going to try to save all the Clintasha (and other) playlists that I can before the site officially closes. If you or someone you know wouldn’t like your playlist archived, let me know. Alternatively, if you are also archiving, it would be great if you could put the links in the comments!

(Let me know if there's other tags I should add to this post).

ANNIBIRTHDAY REC-A-THON

This weekend is our community’s annibirthday (6 years since we started out on LJ) and it’s the tenth birthday of the MCU (Iron Man was released in May 2008)! To celebrate we’re having a good old fashioned nostalgic REC-A-THON.

How It Works: You can pick and choose from the handy meme format below, or use all of it, or just get commenting with recs of ALL THINGS MARVEL. Rec your favourite Clint/Natasha and Clint & Natasha works, branch out and rec things that focus on other characters, pairings, and teams in the MCU, or go really wild and even rec things from the comics. It's party time and everyone's invited!

This is a spoiler free zone so NO INFINITY WAR recs, mentions, or anything. We are here for the last ten years of Marvel and a mountain of nostalgia :)

2) Always label NSFW (Not Safe For Work) stuff in the title and post under a cut.

ATTF: Rec-a-thon

Hello all and welcome to your weekend entertainment!

This week's ATTF is all about the recs.

Comment with something that you'd like to read/see. It could be a specific fic, fanvid, graphic, meta post etc that you remember but just can't quite remember the title of or no longer have a link to. It could be something that you're really in the mood for, like hurt/comfort, Avengers as family, sexy times. It could be that you've recently gotten into a new Marvel pairing (or threesome or moresome!) or you're after something classic MCU or a type of AU or comics related or...anything under the sun or the darkest of starless nights. Please post an individual comment per request, but feel free to comment as many times as you want - like we do for prompts for promptathons. Basically this is prompathon but with recs. (Oh the cleverness of the title for this week's ATTF *grins*)

The rest of us will then reply with recs. Multiple recs allowed, self recs allowed, ALL THE RECS! I have faith in the vastness of your bookmarks.

And y'know what? If you want to share things and there's no comment request for that sort of thing? REC IT ANYWAY. Because sometimes we don't know we're gonna like it until we meet it :)
