New ATTF Sign-Up Post

Hi everyone! inkvoices has very graciously handed ATTF organization over to me (and wow, she's going to be a hard act to follow!) So, here's a new sign-up post because we still have some spots left to fill for 2013 and also for the sake of my keeping track of things.

Info for all:

What is this All The Things Friday of which you speak?
All The Things Friday is bascially a day where we have a post that kicks off a party. That post can be a call out for recs, discussion, picspams, meta, thinky thoughts, squee, dance parties, mini challenges, ANYTHING that you would like to see on this comm. You can take a look at any of the tags with 'Friday' in to see the kinds of things that we've gotten up to before. Although if someone has already used your idea, don't worry; repeats are fine, because there are always new fics to rec and ideas had :)

Who can host?
Anyone. You can host on your own, or as a team, or with a mod.

What does hosting mean?
Being the person that writes the party post. Usually then joining in with the fun that happens. You can know what you want your topic to be in advance, or come up with it on the day.

It's moderating something?
No, don't worry. If you have any problems throw it to the mods as normal. It's more like chairing a gathering, being the DJ, yelling for drinks all around. It's as much or as little work as you want it to be.

How does hosting work?
You write a post about what kind of Friday you want it to be, opening up the floor, and you post it at any time on a Friday. For people worried about timezones, really,any time (we tend to party on into the weekend anyway). At the bottom of your Friday post we'd like you to copy and paste this:

<small>Things to remember: 1) Always label NSFW (Not Safe For Work) stuff in the title and post under a cut. 2) Fic and artwork needs to have a rating and warnings (or you can say that you’ve chosen not to use warnings). 3) For people with annoying internet connections, say in the title if a comment is graphic/images/gif-heavy and post picspams under a cut. 4) Have a damn good time! (Because if that’s not happening then this post has clearly failed.)</small>

What if I have a topic, but I don't want to host?
Let us know what topics you'd like and someone else will host it! Ideas are gold.

You keep saying anyone and anything, but what are the rules of this thing?
Have fun. That's an important rule. Otherwise, it's an all the things friday and we really mean that :)

I think I can do Dec 6 or 13 unless someone decides to put me on a plane again (my life can be hard to predict). And I do think it's time for another three-sentence prompt ficathon....:-)

On another point, I see you have the Thor discussion set for the date it is being released in North America. Shouldn't folks have a chance to watch it first ...? ;-)

You two totally should do h/c on the 8th, because that's my birthday weekend. :p (I'll put it down as soon as I'm at home and can edit the post. iPad and LJ don't get along very well.)

Hey guys! I can do November 22nd ATTF, and I think it would be great to do one of those random, relaxed chats. Tentative title could be "personality tests", and we could do stuff like Hogwarts houses sorting, Are you introvert/extrovert, What type of music are you; just to start off the chatting. What do you think?

That sounds fun. Could we also relate it back or the characters somehow too? I mean, I'm sure they have Opinions about personality testing. :p
