SUNDAY 7 AUGUST: We open for fills! (You can also keep prompting)
MIDNIGHT SUNDAY 25 SEPTEMBER: Promptathon, both prompts and fills, ends at midnight in whatever your timezone is.

HOW PROMPTATHON 2022 WORKS

> Step One: Leave Prompts

Prompts can be anything – simple or elaborate, words or pictures, songs or poems, lyrics or phrases, anything that inspires a fanwork. Use your imagination. Go wild!

We welcome ALL THINGS MARVEL, though we ask that Clint and/or Natasha turn up in there somewhere, individually or as friends, lovers, spouses, partners, in gen fic, ANYTHING. That means we do welcome other characters and pairings (and threesomes or moresomes).

Leave as many prompts as you want. We’re serious. Keep coming back. We want as many prompts as we can possibly get. Just make sure each prompt is in a separate comment.

Also please add a warning at the top if your prompts contain spoilers/speculation relating to any Marvel films/tv shows released in the last six months including Hawkeye TV.

> Step Two: Squee

Been wanting to jump into the fandom but not sure where to start? Now’s the time. Newbie or a lurker? Here’s the perfect opportunity to say hello! Promptathon is a fun, no-pressure environment. If all you want to do is post prompts and share in the squee, you’re more than welcome! And by squee we mean chatting in the chat thread, replying to prompts to chat about prompts, and just lots of excitement all over the place.

For additional squee, there is also the be_compromised Discord Server, where you can chat about Promptathon (or anything else) in a more chatroom-style place. Click here for an invite. However, all prompts and fills will be on this DW post as a one-stop shop.

> Step Three: submit fanworks like there’s no tomorrow!

The usual Community Rules apply. There’s no length requirement on fanworks submitted. You can create drabbles or epics, vids, art, fanmixes, anything at all; it’s just all about getting creative! You can fill as many prompts as you want, and prompts can be filled multiple times by whoever wants to fill them.

Please warn if your fills contain spoilers/speculation relating to any Marvel films/tv shows released in the last six months including Hawkeye TV.

HOW TO POST FILLS

Respond in a comment to the prompt you are filling. Please post the entire work in the comment if it's short enough OR post a link, and consider posting the first section as a teaser. Please don't post works directly to the comm - we’re all about one-stop shopping, so keep everything in this main promptathon post. We'll do a masterlist of fills at the end.

Label your fill/comment in the subject line with 'FILL', your title, and a rating. Example: FILL: 5 Times Clint and Natasha Were Awesome (PG). When filling in the subject line, you may need to view the comm in its original style (if you don't already). Just make sure you can see a subject line when responding with your submission. This makes it A LOT easier for us to make that masterlist and for people to spot your fills.

Make sure to include a rating and warnings OR 'choose not to warn' at the start of your fill, as per the comm rules. Help us out and make sure folks know what they're clicking on :)

And once again, please warn for Hawkeye TV spoilers and any Marvel films/tvs released in 2022! Not everyone has Disney+/can get to the cinema.

Accidental marriage: Natasha and Clint visit Asgard/another planet/somewhere that has a tradition kind of like common law marriage, but instead of being how long you live together it's something Nat and Clint wouldn't think twice about, like eating food off of the same plate or sharing clothes or something. They've seen other people doing it, so they didn't think it was rude or going to cause a diplomatic incident or anything, but it turns out all those people were married. Oops?

In those five years at the start of Endgame, Natasha's team are very much aware that she keeps looking for Clint and secretly they try to find him for her/get in contact with him to tell him to fix his shit and get his ass back here. (Maybe creative messages? Maybe dropping in on him? Maybe helping him when he's in over his head, for Nat.)

(They know where Clint Barton is. By this point they're all getting pretty damn good at finding where Clint Barton is. Finding him isn't the problem.)

CIRCUS AU! (I am always gonna add a circus prompt *grins*)

Past story, AU, undercover-Clint-returns-to-the-circus, whatever kind of circus/carnival setting with whoever else in the cast: Clint with loud, crazy outfits, Clint wth glitter and make-up, Clint as a performer, Clint as asexual/bi-sexual/who cares because everyone is whatever they like in this place man, Clint with piercings or tattoos or trying colours in his hair (or friends helping him try them out), going to the supermarket wearing whatever but something that makes people stare, like 3am pizza runs or 6am picking milk up from the nearest local place in old performing clothes or something with sequins or clothes borrowed from someone else. Just colourful, accepting, alternative circus lifestyle in the best sense of the world. (Okay, you can have some angst or people turning their noses up at them or whatever *grins* but. Circus.)

Kate and Clint make a bet that ends up with Clint/them both going to a speed dating night.

(Bonus, aroace Yelena goes with Natasha for moral support or to make her show up or something, and that's who Kate ends up leaving with - no joy on the speed dating front but new platonic bestie :) )

Supernatural/ fantasy AU: Clint Barton uses feathers from his own wings for his arrows. Natasha Romanoff makes knives from her bones. But people are not weapons.

Nat (or Nat and Bucky) owns / works at a cat cafe. Clint, being Clint, spots this place and thinks it's just a pet friendly cafe, so he goes in with Lucky.

Fury / Coulson / Hill / SHIELD have trouble getting Clint and Natasha to take their vacation days. So they set them up, arrange for a bet, or otherwise set a challenge. Like can they get around the world in 80 days, a scavenger hunt, climb the tallest mountain etc.

(Maybe they compete against each other, together to win the bet, or against other people / Agents. Bonus: the other Agents just found a nice beach somewhere and had a relaxing few weeks drinking cocktails, sauntering back like,'oh no, we lost, such a shame.')
