Greetings, best bar on earth!!  Man I have missed this place. This time of year is always so crazy-busy, and there's always so much to get done that it seems to fly by in a kind of haze (I know I've pretty much been doing my own zombie walk just trying to make it through, and a huge shoutout to Bob for some much needed fic therapy; it's totally keeping my ass sane right now.)

But how goes it, y'all? shenshen77and I were talking the other day and she had mentioned that we hadn't had a good old-fashioned friending meme in a while, and I thought that sounded like a dandy idea. I also think we need a good impromptu dance party and a chance to chat and hang out with old friends and make new ones and just be our awesome selves.

So please come by and introduce yourself. Say a few words about how you found this place or this ship and what your interests are. Check out other people's comments. Feel free to stalk them (in a non-creepy and completely respectful way) and comment crash-- hell, this place was built on comment-crashing (you think I'm kidding but I'm not.) There is no form to fill out becuase I'm allergic to forms. Free jazz all the way, bb. ;)

ETA on the introductions: no need to go into detail on the personal stuff. share as much as you feel comfortable with. i always like being a little cautious on that front, this being the internets and all. <3

I do that some now too. I felt like I was watching too much tv so I stopped adding new shows until they were a few seasons old. I started watching LOST during the holiday break its last season cause I knew I wanted to be caught up to see the finale live so I wouldn't get spoiled and never be able to watch it. Did the same with Fringe last season in case it was the end.

I have no patience so I've been known to go looking for spoilers. *grins* I'm one of THOSE people.

THAT IS SO COOL! It's been years since I've seen the Dark Crystal but I watched it a thousand and one times when I was a kid (and I'm old enough to have seen it in the theater and remember a time before the Dark Crystal existed). Perhaps it is time to watch it again!

I'm not quite old enough to have seen it in the theaters, but I once broke a VCR by playing the crappy library copy too many times (my parents refused to buy things we could borrow from the library). Every time I watch it as an adult I'm amazed that it didn't scare the ever living crap out of me as a child. :)

Oh, yes! I agree. It's super creepy to me as an adult! It's also very grown up and I think that's what I liked about it.

Maybe it's not a bad thing to "break" kids now and then. Scare them a little. Break them out of the usual mold of childish things. It certainly didn't break us... I mean... much.

At least you didn't break it by putting a cheese sandwich in it the way my sister did. She just wanted to see what would happen. She's getting it all back in spades because her two boys are turning out to be a lot like she was as a child!

True - I think kids need to be challenged, not coddled or helicoptered around quite as much as a lot of ppl seem to these days.

I was more the take the toaster apart and lose a screw so I couldn't put it back together properly type than the let's see what happens if I stick this in it type. No surprise I'm an engineer now I guess.
