RULES ON POSTING SUBMISSIONS
(please read before you post! <3)


The Rules. Just follow these three easy steps!

1. Leave a Prompt.
Prompts can be anything--simple or elaborate, words or pictures, songs or poems, lyrics or phrases. Anything that, to you, inspires a C/N fanwork. Use your imagination. Go WILD. All we ask is that you place anything NSFW under a cut or link, use trigger warnings when appropriate, and place anything spoiler-y under a cut with a warning. As this is a Clint/Natasha promptathon, your prompts and fanworks can include other characters, but the central focus must be on Clint and/or Natasha. If you’re posting large images, please be mindful of members with slower Internet connections and place the image under a cut or link.

And leave as many prompts as you want. I’m serious. Keep coming back, y’all. We want all the prompts we can possibly get Also, be sure to leave each prompt as a separate comment.

2. Wait a week.
Keep leaving prompts and plan your fanworks! This is a time for celebration and creating all of the things. Work hard, shippers.

3. Submit C/N fanwork like there is no tomorrow.
All submissions should either be posted here or linked to this post via a comment. We will make an official post about rules in the time leading up to submissions. Please read it before posting, as responsible partying is to be encouraged at all times.

Timeline

Prompting starts today, August 2^nd and will remain open until August 9^th. Submissions will start on August 16^th, and will remain open until August 31^st.  It is, in fact, A WHOLE MONTH OF PROMPTATHON.

If you can’t complete your fanwork by August 31^st, that’s okay. You’re still welcome to post your fanwork to the community! However, the promptathon masterlist will only include fanworks from August 16-31.

What we hope to accomplish with all this promptathon-iness:

• A chance to get in the game. Been wanting to jump into the C/N fanwork scene but not sure where to start? Now’s the time. There’s no length requirement on the works submitted, you can focus on drabbles and vidlets and short and sweet projects (or do longer more epic stuff if that strikes your fancy as well).  It’s really entirely up to you. We’re just hoping to provide a fun, no-pressure environment. If all you want to do is post prompts and share in the squee, that’s fine too!

• Meet new and awesome people. Newbie or lurker? Here is the perfect opportunity to say hello!

• Ship like you’ve never shipped before.

Avengers at the dog park - they all have dogs that represent their superhero personalities.

Clint has a lab mix called Lucky (obviously), Natasha owns a Basenji and they love to do agility ("PARKOUR!"). Thor has a big yellow lab, exuberant, goofy and loveable. Steve's dog is a hard working, loyal and fun Australian Shepherd, while Tony owns a Doberman pinscher. Pepper's Borzoi is sleek and elegant. Then you have Pietro with his Greyhound and Wanda with her Boston Terrier. And last but not least Maria Hill and her ugly bulldog - who loves Steve. So much so that he's slightly perturbed by it. Needless to say, days at the dog park are never dull.

“The History Department has a decreasing enrollment, whereas we have a steadily increasing enrollment,” Natasha said. “C’mon Nick. We haven’t had a new professor in two years.”

Of course she was using her personal connection with Dean Fury, Clint thought.

“It’s pretty easy to have an increasing enrollment when your initial enrollment is so small,” he pointed out.

Dean Fury didn’t seem convinced, and Natasha turned her famous glare, one that had been known to make undergrads cry, towards Clint.

“As the United States becomes more open to the world, we desperately need more undergraduate students studying languages. And they’re employable. Two of my Russian majors got placements in the State Department last year,” she said. “Most of the History graduates turned out to be teachers. Or unemployed.”

By the time Clint arrived outside Stark's lab, there was smoke seeping out from underneath the door. The hand-drawn sign stuck to the door said 'There Be Dragons.' He turned to Tony, who was wheezing and covered in soot.

"Please tell me that's a joke."

Stark just looked at him, and something in his eyes hit Clint like a punch in the gut.

"Tony?" he said carefully. "Where's Natasha?"

Somehow, some way, they get accidentally married. Your choice what they do about it.

Bonus points if they don't know about the accidental marriage, start dating, and then find out.

I am probably going to write this myself one day, but it's also something I'd just love to read:

Natasha begins dating Daredevil and going on superhero adventures with him, blissfully unaware of Clint's feelings for her. Clint at first hopes the relationship will fizzle out, but when it seems to be heading somewhere serious he has to decide whether to tell Natasha how he feels. I really like the idea of Clint intensely burning for her since before she met DD (i.e. his passion is for her, not due to jealousy/competition).

The S.H.I.E.L.D. files reveal something not ever disclosed to Natasha: her family is alive. She has parents, a sister, and a brother. Clint helps her deal with this revelation and decide whether to approach them.

Possibly the family learns of the S.H.I.E.L.D. files first and contacts her unexpectedly.
