As of right now, Promptathon 2014 is closed for fills. A big thank you to everyone who left prompts, wrote fills, left comments and kudos and the like on people's fics, and generally contributed to the awesomeness! I'm blown away by the response Promptathon achieved this year.

There were so many fics submitted this year that you may have found it hard to keep up with reading-- I know I did! Fortunately the fabulous [livejournal.com profile] inkvoices worked very hard to make our Masterlist. Now we can catch up!

If you didn't finish your fill in time, that's cool. You can still post it separately to the community, but it won't be added to the Masterlist.

THANKS FOR MAKING PROMPTATHON SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone! A reminder that you have TWO DAYS left to post fills for Promptathon. Fills close on August 31st.

Hi guys!

I hope you're all enjoying Prompathon so far. We've had some great fics! This is a reminder that you have ONE MORE WEEK to post fills. Promptathon will finish on August 31. If you finish a fic based on a promptathon prompt after that date, you're still welcome to post it to the community, but it won't be added to the Masterlist.

You've worked. You've waited. And now the day is finally here.

The time for submissions to the Clint/Natasha Promptathon is here. Please cast your eyes over our rules!

How to post
:
1.  Respond in a comment to the prompt you are filling.
2.  Make sure to label your submission in the subject line with the type of fanwork (fic/icon/artwork/vid/fanmix/etc.) + the title.  For example:

"FIC: 5 Times Clint and Natasha Were Awesome Badass Asaassinpeople (and One Time They Were Extra-Awesome), rated: M, no warnings"

When filling in the subject line, you may need to view the comm in it's original style (if you don't already). Just make sure you can see a subject line when responding with your submission.

3. Be sure to leave ratings and warnings (if any) in the subject line. (See example above.)  Help us out and make sure folks know what they're clicking on. Thoughtfulness = LOVE. If the ratings or the warnings won't fit in the subject line, just leave them at the top of your post. If you don't want to include warnings, please put 'I choose not to warn' in the subject line, or at the top of the post if it doesn't fit.

4.  Try and post the entire work in the comment (if it's short enough), or if not, post a link. I'm all about one-stop shopping whenever possible, so try and post in the main promptathon post if the length allows.  Also, if it is too long to post in the promptathon post, consider posting the first section as a teaser and then a link (b/c that's always fun too.)  Either way, be sure to label your post in the subject line as described above (**points to rule #2**).

5. Please put anything NSFW under a cut or link.

6. Put any spoilers for upcoming Marvel movies under a cut or link with an appropriate warning.

7. Leave a comment in the Masterlist Post with a link to your fanwork and the prompt you are responding to. You can include the prompt either in a link, or by copy/pasting the prompt into your comment (probably the easiest option for text prompts). We have a lot of prompts this year and hopefully a lot of fills, so doing this will help us keep the Masterlist up to date so you don't miss out on the awesome fanworks! Your mods will thank you. ;)

If you miss the submission cut-off date (August 31), you can always post directly to the comm, but let's wait a couple of days first. I don't want to get flooded with new posts right out of the gate.  For now, let's try and keep all of the action at the actual promptathon post.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Now, go forth and share your works with us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to your handy masterlist, which will be updated throughout with new fills so you'll be able to keep track of everything without trawling through the whole promptathon post (although that's fun and I highly recommend it *grins*) and then hopefully you won't miss anything!

We have the full promptathon post here where you post your fills, an epic spreadsheet here to help with keeping track, and please read the rules for posting fills HERE. THEN COMMENT TO THIS POST WITH A LINK TO WHERE YOUR FILL COMMENT IS ON THE PROMPTATHON THREAD.

Greetings, patrons of the best bar!

Just a quick post to let you know I've compiled all of the prompts for this year's promptathons onto a single, handy spreadsheet. They're listed by prompter and page for easy access. I've disabled editing on the spreadsheet, but once fills start, I'll begin adding those as well.

Here is the sheet! It's hosted on Google Docs. I'm looking forward to seeing all of the fills (which start on August 16th, just as a reminder).

The time for prompts is at an end, my friends! But that doesn't mean we rest. This week is a time for creating all of the things. Read through the prompts. Pick one or a few you like. Work hard. Discuss with your fellow fans.

Fills/submissions open on August 16. Prior to that we will have a post with posting guidelines, so don't worry about that for now. This is a time of creation and squee.

See you on the 16th!

RULES ON POSTING SUBMISSIONS
(please read before you post! <3)

The Rules. Just follow these three easy steps!

1. Leave a Prompt.
Prompts can be anything--simple or elaborate, words or pictures, songs or poems, lyrics or phrases. Anything that, to you, inspires a C/N fanwork. Use your imagination. Go WILD. All we ask is that you place anything NSFW under a cut or link, use trigger warnings when appropriate, and place anything spoiler-y under a cut with a warning. As this is a Clint/Natasha promptathon, your prompts and fanworks can include other characters, but the central focus must be on Clint and/or Natasha. If you’re posting large images, please be mindful of members with slower Internet connections and place the image under a cut or link.

And leave as many prompts as you want. I’m serious. Keep coming back, y’all. We want all the prompts we can possibly get Also, be sure to leave each prompt as a separate comment.

2. Wait a week.
Keep leaving prompts and plan your fanworks! This is a time for celebration and creating all of the things. Work hard, shippers.

3. Submit C/N fanwork like there is no tomorrow.
All submissions should either be posted here or linked to this post via a comment. We will make an official post about rules in the time leading up to submissions. Please read it before posting, as responsible partying is to be encouraged at all times.

Timeline

Prompting starts today, August 2nd and will remain open until August 9th. Submissions will start on August 16th, and will remain open until August 31st.  It is, in fact, A WHOLE MONTH OF PROMPTATHON.

If you can’t complete your fanwork by August 31st, that’s okay. You’re still welcome to post your fanwork to the community! However, the promptathon masterlist will only include fanworks from August 16-31.

What we hope to accomplish with all this promptathon-iness:

  • A chance to get in the game. Been wanting to jump into the C/N fanwork scene but not sure where to start? Now’s the time. There’s no length requirement on the works submitted, you can focus on drabbles and vidlets and short and sweet projects (or do longer more epic stuff if that strikes your fancy as well).  It’s really entirely up to you. We’re just hoping to provide a fun, no-pressure environment. If all you want to do is post prompts and share in the squee, that’s fine too!

  • Meet new and awesome people. Newbie or lurker? Here is the perfect opportunity to say hello!

  • Ship like you’ve never shipped before.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact the mod team.

Have fun, everyone. Now fly, my pretties, fly!

SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSED.

Thanks to everyone who participated!

Hello lovelies!

Remember how around this time last year, we had our annual Summer Promptathon? Well, it's happening again!

(Are you excited? I'm excited)

Our plan is to run Promptathon in August. We're still discussing dates,  and for this, we need YOUR HELP. We appreciate feedback on the following:

1. Approximately when would be a good time for Promptathon to happen? We want to make sure that anyone who wants to participate in Promptathon will be able to, so we'll aim to have our dates when most people are free.

2. Would you want one week or two weeks to post prompts?

3. Is a one week break enough time to work on fills for prompts?

4. Would you want two weeks or three weeks to post prompt fills? Remember we can extend posting dates if necessary.
