All the Things Friday - Merchandising
So. Chances are that if you are like me, you own a few ::cough:: Hawkeye and/or Black Widow pieces of merchandising.
There are my beloved Dr Pepper cans,

my stickers (okay, they’re more comics than MCU, but they count!),

and of course my personal favorite – the salt and pepper shakers I painted at a paint-your-own pottery event. ‘Cause awesome!

IRL, there are some fabulous items for us all to have. Share yours!
That being said, what about in the MCU? There is a shot in the beginning of the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot of Avengers action figures, and Black Widow is clearly featured (I think Hawkeye’s in there, but it’s hard to tell.) So folks in the Marvel-created universe do know who they are.
So I have a few questions –
1. What are the craziest, weirdest, coolest, most bizarre, extravagant, teeny, huge, (the list goes on) merchandising products that you have seen or heard of? Pictures and/or links are gold! If not available, descriptions make us all smile. :-) For instance, I love the fatheads (and here is hers). ‘Cause, again, awesome! (At $99 each, I shall not be purchasing either soon, but still – I would if I could!)
2. In the MCU, do you think Clint and Natasha get a cut of the action? (It is my head canon that Tony made sure of that.) Beyond that, though, what do they think about merchandising? Are they amused? Horrified? Other?
3. Share links that you have to any fanworks on this topic. For instance, I know that I read a fanfic – although I have no idea how to find it again – about how freaked out Natasha was by the idea of little girls emulating her at Halloween in their little store-bought costumes. She didn’t think that she was remotely worthy of such a thing, nor did she think that little girls should be dressing up like an assassin. This could probably extend to general adoration of them as heroes – I know we’ve all read fics where they discover fanfiction about themselves. While that’s not merchandising, it could be included in this discussion. I leave it up to you!
Things to remember:
1) Always label NSFW (Not Safe For Work) stuff in the title and post under a cut.
2) Fic and artwork needs to have a rating and warnings (or you can say that you’ve chosen not to use warnings).
3) For people with annoying internet connections, say in the title if a comment is graphic/images/gif-heavy and post picspams under a cut.
4) Have a damn good time! (Because if that’s not happening then this post has clearly failed.)

also, as the least visible of the avengers, I bet their merchandise, if there was any after the battle of NY, wasn't consistent in naming them (I bet Nat got called The Woman In Black or something)
until Tony stepped in and licensed official avengers merchandise and gave Fury an even bigger headache than before
but of course because of spy reasons the faces on the stuff aren't clear
and Clint thinks it's hilarious and Nat is a bit weirded out about it because she's so used to hiding in plain sight and she doesn't want to be famous
until after CA:TWS then she thinks fuck it and just goes with it because hiding now would defeat the purpose

Interesting theory about their faces on merchandising. Now I totally want to know the specifics! :-)

Also, here's a photo of my office (ignore the map of the former Soviet Union, it was put there by my predecessor and the wall behind it is damaged, so.

2 - I have the same desk in my office, but it's attached to a hutch-type piece instead of free standing.
3 - how the heck did you get your pic under a cut? I tried with mine post below, but it didn't work :(

Nice poster, heeh. I got one to hang up in my hallway, just need to get a frame.

I think Stark Industries owns Hot Toys and Tony commissioned the figures. ;-)

Awesome propaganda-style poster (http://media-cache-cd0.pinimg.com/236x/b8/d3/f1/b8d3f109264b7277253e00dc8bdef4dc.jpg) (this is part of a set)
This shirt (http://www.welovefine.com/5851-stand-back-boys.html#.VCXu72M1Ao8) and this one (http://www.welovefine.com/4557-i-heart-hawkeye.html#.VCXu9mM1Ao8) and this one (http://www.welovefine.com/5750-hawkguy.html#.VCXwBWM1Ao8) (I have a Marvel t-shirt problem, I will not deny it). Oh, and THIS (http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/1cdf/) (Halloween costume, FTW!)
And then there's my hoard of figurines/statues...
Funko POP Black Widow (CATWS) (http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HV8O8BQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
Kotobukiya Black Widow statue (http://smile.amazon.com/Kotobukiya-Marvel-Comics-Avengers-Statue/dp/B00FPTDX8M) (Hawkeye comes out on Oct. 8, 2014)
Marvel Select Black Widow (http://smile.amazon.com/Marvel-Select-Black-Action-Figure/dp/B005OZOF52)
Marvel Legends Infinite Series Black Widow (http://smile.amazon.com/Captain-America-Marvel-Legends-Figure/dp/B00G69PU2W)
My local comics store has been AMAZING in terms of finds. I was able to get my hands on the Kotobukiya, Marvel Select, and Marvel Legends figures there, and I'm hoping to get my hands on the Kotobukiya Hawkeye there as well.

I also have 3 sets of Hawkeye and Black Widow figurines.
These are Mini Grab Zags:
Launching Arrows Hawkeye, Grapple Blast Black Widow with Hawkeye and Black Widow MiniMates:
And I captioned this piece of silliness:
"That’s it. This time Stark has gone too far."
"I don’t know Tasha. I think they’re kinda cute."
I had wanted to keep the toy buying to just those that I could find both Clint and Natasha, but this little lady was irresistible:
I hope Funko comes out with Hawkeye soon.
My next purchase is going to be lego Hawkeye and Black Widow.
There are a lot of different action figures out there and I've seen that Disney has come out with Infinity 2.0 figurines? I'm not quite sure just what this is, but it looks like a video game?
Pic-heavy action figure silliness below.
Honey, I Shrunk the Assassins coming in Marvel's Phase 3:
For a ficlet by
"I think it likes Natasha," he tells the billionaire.:
Contact Agent Silverstein, tell him we have the location.:
Natasha saved the day when Clint made the mistake of getting between the creature and it’s young.:
It didn’t even rank in their Top 10 Weird Missions.:

I'm hoping Funko will have Hawkeye for Age of Ultron. HOPING.

By far, though, my favorite purchase ever made was my Natasha plush I bought at DragonCon. I haven't put her down since I bought her, because I'm a very responsible and mature 30-something. ;)

*cue sad music*
The #1 thing I miss about Atlanta? Dragon*Con. #2? My dentist. :-( (Seriously - he gives you free laughing gas - even for cleanings!)
And your collection sounds fabulous!
