ANNIBIRTHDAY REC-A-THON

This weekend is our community’s annibirthday (6 years since we started out on LJ) and it’s the tenth birthday of the MCU (Iron Man was released in May 2008)! To celebrate we’re having a good old fashioned nostalgic REC-A-THON.

How It Works: You can pick and choose from the handy meme format below, or use all of it, or just get commenting with recs of ALL THINGS MARVEL. Rec your favourite Clint/Natasha and Clint & Natasha works, branch out and rec things that focus on other characters, pairings, and teams in the MCU, or go really wild and even rec things from the comics. It's party time and everyone's invited!

This is a spoiler free zone so NO INFINITY WAR recs, mentions, or anything. We are here for the last ten years of Marvel and a mountain of nostalgia :)

Copy and paste for suggestions on getting started:

Things to remember:
1) Nothing Infinity War. At all.
2) Always label NSFW (Not Safe For Work) stuff in the title and post under a cut.
3) Fic and artwork needs to have a rating and warnings (or you can say that you’ve chosen not to use warnings).
4) For people with annoying internet connections, say in the title if a comment is graphic/images/gif-heavy and post picspams under a cut.
5) Have a damn good time! (Because if that’s not happening then this post has clearly failed.)

Ooh! That leaves SO MUCH FIC to explore on AO3!! Highly recommend - though you don't need to have an AO3 to read on AO3, jsyk. <3

Yeah, I'm sure there's a world of fic out there that I haven't read, which is kind of a nice feeling. :D Not having an account, I guess I'm just less likely to go there looking for it since I don't really know who all the good ao3 authors are. So I've REALLY been enjoying all the recs yall are posting, I've read some awesome ones!

The good thing about AO3 is that it;s really easy to search, so you don't necessarily need to know good authors before going in. The OTHER good thing about AO3 is how connected it is, so you can take one of the stories you read here and liked, and go through that authors other works and their bookmarks and find a whole world of fic that way. :)

Ooh okay, that's good to know. Thanks so much for the tips; I might have to head over there a little more often then!
