Welcome!!!! The time is now upon us. This will kick off a month's worth of prompting and fanworking and all the good things. Not sure what to do? Click below for our handy-dandy Promptathon Guide!

RULES ON POSTING SUBMISSIONS
(please read before you post! <3)


The Rules.  Just follow these three easy steps!

1. Leave a Prompt.
Prompts can be anything--simple or elaborate, words or pictures, songs or poems, lyrics or phrases. Anything that, to you, inspires a C/N fanwork. Use your imagination. Go crazy. All I ask is that you keep it tasteful and warn for anything explicit or triggery. Also, try to be as specific as you can with your prompts--this is often very helpful to those creating the fanwork.

And leave as many prompts as you want. I’m serious. Keep coming back, y’all. We want all the prompts we can possibly get Also, be sure to leave each prompt as a separate comment.

2. Wait a week.
Tailgate and chitchat and keep leaving prompts. And mull over the epic fanworks you are creating.

3. Submit C/N fanwork like there is no tomorrow.
All submissions should either be posted here or linked to this post via a comment. The nitty gritty details of posting your stuff can be found HERE. Please read before you post


Timeframe:
Prompts will be accepted starting today, Friday, July 13th (!!!) and will remain open until Friday, August 10th.  Submissions may be submitted beginning on Friday, July 20th and may continue to be submitted until August 10th.


What we hope to accomplish with all this promptathon-iness:

• A chance to get in the game. Been wanting to jump into the C/N fanwork scene but not sure where to start? Now’s the time. There’s no length requirement on the works submitted, you can focus on drabbles and vidlets and short and sweet projects (or do longer more epic stuff if that strikes your fancy as well).  It’s really entirely up to you. We’re just hoping to provide a fun, no-pressure environment.

• Meet new and awesome people. Because srsly, I love everyone in this bar. It's a good damn bar. Don't be afraid to say hello
• Ship like you’ve never shipped before.
• Tailgate when appropriate. My motto is, if something ain’t a cocktail party, you just aren’t trying hard enough. In that spirit, aurora_0811and I are hosting the tailgate section (which I think at this point just includes random chatter and ridiculousness, cheerleading and tomfoolery, because I doubt our comm’s talkative nature will be suppressed even during the prompting/waiting period.) So pull up a helicarrier-shaped lawnchair, crack open a cold one and settle in for the festivities. And leave prompts.

And most of all, have fun. :)

This is more of a plot bunny vs. vague prompt-ish thing. It's been kicking around in my head for awhile. Story/plot lines come to me easily but dialog is a total bitch so I'm setting my bunny free in hopes it goes to a good home. Apologies if this is too long/specific/crazy. I like to talk fic A LOT so here I am.

"What if Natasha becomes unmade again? What if the one man who understands what that means is gone? With Clint abandoning the team and her, is there anything that holds Natasha back from embracing her dark side once again? Will Clint deal with his own demons to become one of team and save the world once again? Is there a way to heal an extended absence between the assassins?"

After being heartwashed by Loki, Clint can't deal with Coulson's death or what he would have done to Tasha and disappears.

Three years later Natasha has a new partner at SHIELD and during an OP gone wrong Nat is kidnapped by remnants of HYDRA and the Red Room. They have one goal, to turn Agent Natasha Romanoff back into Natalia Romanova by any means necessary and use the Black Widow to bring down SHIELD, eliminate The Avengers and take over the world using her insider knowledge of the team and the agency.

Clint has been holed up in a cabin at the top of a mountain for 3 years. He's off the grid until he gets his first visitor, Agent Coulson arrives alone and he's shocked believing Phil had been dead. Phil gets right down to business "Fury didn't authorize my finding you Barton, but I'm here because you should know, Romanoff's been compromised."

Action, angst, bantering, anger, trust issues, jealousy, and hot make outs/sexytimes all ensue.

Training/team-building exercises pre-Avengers.

Natasha and languages - people generally guess that she at least knows English and Russian, but Natasha is a spy and an assassin. She knows far more. She also knows how to lip read. (And sign language?) Something in which Natasha's linguistic expertise features.

Possibly: Natasha is injured, but that doesn't mean she's off work. Fury has her transcribing and translating audio and video footage from other people's missions. (And then, maybe, she finds herself working on something from a mission that Clint is on without her, since she's benched...)

AU Clint has been passed around rather a lot of foster homes (perhaps because he's deaf/trouble/keeps running away to try and find his brother) and he's been with this current family only a few weeks (perhaps they're just looking after him, or perhaps they're one of those couples that fosters a load of kids) when they get another new kid to foster, a girl with firey red hair... Angsty or sweet or however you like :)

She really hated it when anyone called her by her formal name but tried not to let the irritation show. The last thing she needed Bobbi Morse, American Apple Pie Cheerleader, know was yet another of her flaws. It felt like so many people already knew so many of them already.

In my headcanon, Clint got the Black Widow assignment and did what he always did--prepare slowly and meticulously and studied all the available info before going after his mark. So he got a hold of her file. And studied it. And studied it some more. In fact, I'd go so far as to say he damn near became obsessed long before he ever physically laid eyes on her. (And to my mind, that's when he started to fall for her--all that careful, obsessive attention to detail started to blur the edges between the personal and the professional.) He probably never even realized it at the time, but it played a big part in setting him up to make a different call.
