I am so very much excited for the epic promptathon going live for fills from TOMORROW! Seriously, over 1000 comments on the post and the prompts are all brilliant :D

The only problem is that tomorrow is, well, tomorrow. My patience, it is being sorely tested, and so in preparation and celebration I bring you promptathon icons and some recs (as always aiming not to repeat) to pass the time. Enjoy and then enjoy the promptathon amazingness tomorrow!

kisses on the necks of best friends by listedheart on AO3 (Clint/Natasha, Explicit, 3043 words) The summary is they go to prom mostly because Natasha has an evening dress she doesn’t think she’ll get another chance to wear any time soon. It’s a High School AU friendship story which is sweet, fumbley, playful, and hot by turns.

Second Chance by arsenicjade (Gen, G, mentions of child abuse) Clint is turned into a kid with fluff, angst, and hurt-comfort, but what makes this kid!fic stand out is how the impact of Clint being a kid is shown to effect everyone else on the team, so whilst we get some wonderfully cute Clint, we also get a fantastic team story.

Sun On The Back Of My Neck by dome_epais on AO3 (Gen, Teen and Up, 2448 words) The summary is Clint goes on a field trip and gets some unexpected company. It’s fun!

Understanding by SLynn on AO3 (Gen, Teen and Up, 5505 words) Clint and Natasha’s first mission together with a summary of if they were going to work together, then Clint and Natasha needed to first get along.

If It Ain’t Broke by whisp (no details given, but I’d say PG13 with a warning for language and Gen) The summary is Clint blames this solely on R&D. You think they’d remember to make his hearing aids freaking waterproof. Idiots. It has Natasha and Clint being wonderfully close and the team learning about Clint’s disability.

One hears clearly only with the heart by kathierif_fic on AO3 (Clint/Coulson, Teen and Up, 2380 words) is a brilliant, heart achey look at Clint losing his hearing because Clint made a promise that he would do everything in his power to prevent getting mind-wiped again, after Loki.
