Lurker.  Big fan.  Plotter of evil.  Foamy at the mouth for cold-blooded killers.  Likes it here.  First time posting. *waves*

You all might recall there was an amusing fanvid of "Everyone is Clint Barton Undercover" rec'd a few weeks ago.  The post is [here].

This fic is set in that universe.  HOWEVER, that is actually not the thing that amuses me.  Generally, I let the fandom vet out the diamonds in the rough, separate the wheat from the chaff, and all that.  However, curiosity got the better of me and I clicked even though the chapters-to-reviews ratio wasn't very high (it could easily have been overlooked).

It's a real ride.

Title:  Cupid (on ff.net) (WIP)
Written by:  AlphaKantSpell
Summary:  Clint had never been a normal person - not even in the unusual fellow sort of sense. He was literally not a person. Clint was a Cupid, complete with wings and an inexhaustible set of magic love making arrows. That's getting ahead of things. This is a story about how Natasha is Clint's soulmate but he isn't her's.
Rated: Fiction M - English - Romance/Drama - Hawkeye/Clint B. & Black Widow/Natasha R. - Chapters: 5 - Words: 22,154 - Reviews: 22 - Favs: 17 - Follows: 31 - Updated: 07-18-12 - Published: 07-05-12
Warnings:  CRACKAGE. SERIOUS CRACK.  Possible Clint cracky whump.  Nothing too sexy yet.  Lots of language.  No triggers (yet).

(There're some spelling errors and occasional wrong-words, but the writer has a form of dyslexia and no beta that I can see, so a little leniency is in order -- she's still a good writer)

It's so goddamn funny and just a tad heartbreaking.  Clint is obviously a bit (or a lot) OOC, but when crack is in order, do you care?  It also contains oodles of Phil/Clint buddytimes and CLINT ANTICS.  I just laughed so much I thought it was a shame the story might not be getting the exposure it deserves.  So if you care to, give it a little love and maybe boost its numbers a bit for more exposure.  I'd like to make sure the writer is motivated to finish. :)

Thank you, this Public Service Announcement was brought to you by...a helpless assassin(s) fangirl.

You may all now continue staring slack-jawed at the promptathon thread.

Promptathon update--

We're closing in on 1,900 comments and the amazing prompts continue to roll in.

We've got 33 fics/ficlets/drabbles so far, 1 piece of artwork, and 1 massive batch of icons. This stuff is amazing, y'all. Please check it out, and consider leaving some love for those who have been working so hard to bring us these shiny delights. I'm about 2/3 of the way through the current list, and I continue to be blown away by the level of talent here. **HIGH FIVES EVERYONE IN THIS BAR**

All the Promptathon fanworks can be found over here in our handy-dandy Master List.

Bookmark this post, y'all, and check it often. I'm updating every day with new stuff as it's posted (also for now I'm listing it in the order it was posted, so if you've been following along at home, just check the bottom of the list. We may organize another way eventually, but right now it's chronological order.)

Writers, artists--don't see your stuff on the Master List? Yell at me in the comments section of the Master List and I will correct straightaway.

Also, if you've left a comment on the Promptathon post that's accidentally been marked as spam, let me know and I'll fix.

I've been doing my best to keep up with everything, but it never fails that something always slips by. Thanks for the help and thanks for your patience!!  :D

Hi, I'm TL!   I hope to hang out with you lots! Here are the C/N stories I've written that're hosted on places other than the promptathon :).These are kinda down, but I plan to write more cheerful ones. (All of my other Avengers fic is cheerful, Clint and Natasha should get to be, too!)

Title: face like an angel, body like a bomb
Rating/Warnings: G; some violent imagery
Wordcount: ~200
Summary: Lots of people think Natasha Romanoff isn't dangerous. Barton grew up around cons, and doesn't see how you can't spot the tells a mile away.
Note: Written for [livejournal.com profile] ashen_key 's prompt on the noir ficathon here

On AO3

Title: shadows have been cast on us
Rating/Warnings: G; Clint's depressed but it's not from his perspective.
Wordcount: ~300
Summary: She cannot always be his eyes. (Natasha and Clint, post-canon. A scene.)
Note: Written for [livejournal.com profile] sugar_fey's prompt on the noir ficathon (though it's not actually noir) here
On AO3

Title: After Effects
Rating/Warnings: G; Clint's depressed but it's not from his perspective. (Not a mistake; really the same warning)
Wordcount: ~200
Summary: You don't need evidence to know he's not doing well. (But if you did, you'd have it.)
