Title: If You Got a Hammer and a Vise
Author: [livejournal.com profile] celeste9
A Gift For: [livejournal.com profile] shenshen77
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: rated for language, very mild violence, some sexual innuendo
Prompt used: Bodyguard!AU (maybe with Nat as the bodyguard?)
Summary: Clint thought getting out of the family business would make his life less complicated, but that was before Barney insisted he needed a bodyguard.
Author Notes: I loved the idea of Nat as a bodyguard to Clint, hope you like the result! I did originally want to try for an OT3 type fic as you mentioned, but soon realized that unfortunately, I'm not sure how to write Laura just yet, so it's just Clint/Nat. :) I did include Barney Barton and Kate Bishop as they helped me make the story fit together, but absolutely no comics background on them is needed. With thanks to [livejournal.com profile] carlyinrome for the beta. The title is from Bruce Springsteen, 'Secret Garden'.

Title: "Dinosaurs and Hydra and Yetis - Oh My!"
Author: spyforaday
A Gift For: AlphaFlyer
Rating: PG (some salty language)
Warnings: Mention of PTSD (nothing graphic), mentions of violence, canon-level Barton family dysfunction
Prompt used: Dinosaurs. Why did it have to be dinosaurs? AND Yes, Natasha, there is a Yeti.
Summary: The Avengers split up to investigate two possible Hydra bases. Clint and Natasha are on separate teams. And there are dinosaurs and Yeti sightings. This can't possibly end well. Or does it? There is no substance here, only team banter, a slow burn, and maybe an Easter egg or two if you stay for the post credit scenes. In no way is this AoU compliant.
Author Notes: This prompt fill was started three separate times. What made this one stick is still a mystery to me. But, the time crunch probably had something to do with it. There is no depth, no beautiful language, no imaginative scenery. In fact, it's barely an AU. About the only thing that makes it AU is that it is utterly, totally non-AoU compliant. My deepest apologies to my dear AlphaFlyer for my inability to think outside of the box. I hope you find humor and at least a little bit of entertainment from my interpretation of your prompts.
