Just to get it out of the way: I love this fic. Another!!!! :D
First of all, I love how realistic this is. It's like the post-New York actual thing. Also, I love the angst. So much angst, so much love for you for writing it :3 You did an awesome job at the angst and the realism because holy crap. It was so realistic and I'm like "ZOMG IT'S WHAT I WANTED ASLKFJASFKLJAS" so thank you for that! ♥ :D
So....how I comment is that I read and comment as I go, so that's part of the reason I read so slowly, but it provides for a much longer comment, no? XD So here goes!
I love how Clint asks about wanting better. That just...that line stood out to me and poor Bruce. He tried, not to stop him, but to let him know that the option was there for returning. That shows that Bruce cares even though he really didn't know Clint at that point. :3 And the part where Clint thinks he's better as a mindless drone just...Baby no. You're not, you're so much better than that. But how certain he is to believe it? UGH. Angst, so beautiful :')
I love the paragraph about Natasha being so ready to have Clint right-there for her and then he was gone. The part about the coffee cup is just...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaangst central (I love it). I like how she even keeps his bow ready for when he comes back cause she knows that it just has to be ready just in case. But seriously, that coffee cup line...holy geeze. :|
The pine tree bit...I like how you compared it to Steve and still Clint cleared off the branches. Poor baby. I really do feel for how lonely and depressed and isolated he is. I love that tangible feeling, and the way you wrote it was so amazing. I don't think I've said it yet but your writing style for this entire thing was epically wonderful and amazing. I love how you wrote it :3 Your descriptions are 100% fantastic; your characters are perfect. Hell, this whole thing is just so good. Thank you for writing this for me :3 *ahem*
Clint losing it like that THE PHEELS. I just feel so so so SO bad for him. It's like "NATASHA, HURRY UP AND FIND HIM NOW DAMNIT" cause....aaaaaaaaaach. The pains. The pheels. I love this, have I mentioned it yet? Clint wanting to die, though, that's just...jesus. Clint no ;-; The fact that the wolf (I'm assuming that's what it is) saves him from the wanting of having missed on being with Natasha is comforting because it's like....he wants to die, to be away from his pain but still will go on existing if only so he can save an innocent creature from freezing to death, when that's exactly what he wanted to do. The fact that he doesn't realize it's almost the same situation in his case (where the wolf saves him) is just...amazing. I really like that you added this part. :3
