I'll start! Hi, I'm Sugar_Fey, and I'm a Clint/Natasha addict.

I saw Avengers at a midnight screening the first day it was released in Australia. I'd liked the movies leading up to it with the exception of Captain America, which I wasn't too enthused by (I'm sorry, I can't take someone called Captain America seriously, even in a superhero film. Maybe it's my non-American-ness). I've been a Joss Whedon fan from way back and while I haven't read any Avengers comics, I have read a lot of X-Men and I'm a big fan of the superhero team genre.

So needless to say my expectations going in were pretty high, to the point where I was nervous the film wouldn't live up to them.

Well, it surpassed my expectations in every way, and I was hugely impressed with Black Widow.

I'm a feminist and the portrayal of female superheroes (objectified, fridged, etc) has always annoyed me. I was so happy Black Widow was fantastically written, proving that it is possible to have a well written female character in an action movie who isn't just eye candy. Then Natasha had her scene with Clint, and I was expecting them to make out at any moment because that would have been the conventional way to go, but they didn't and instead they went to a lot of effort to make their relationship seem believable, with history and issues and UST like whoa.

Well, partnerships are kind of my fandom kink, so I was sold. No going back. And here I am!
