Oh. My. God. This is absolutely amazing and beautiful and just....GOOD. I wish I had another word that could accurately describe what I'm feeling, what it felt like to read this, because this was everything that I could have ever wanted from a fic. I just loved this. I loved this SO MUCH.

The relationship between Clint and Laura -- that perfect push/pull of something that WORKS, why this woman lets Clint take home strays and killers and is still so open, because that's who Laura is -- she knows who she married. Clint being his absolutely infallible, honest self that of course Natasha would be all "WTF" about but at the same time, that's why she fell for him in the first place, because he treated her like a person and not an object. I love, love, LOVE the dynamic Laura brings to the table, how she helps in her own way, but she also trusts her husband and Natasha enough to build a relationship.

I want to pick out every single word I loved about this, and I don't know how I can. The intricacies of Natasha's character, her thinking of how to kill people, the way she looks at animals and people and evolves as she realizes what it feels like to become a part of someone's life. The line about gardening and killing. Clint naming his dog for a freaking XYLOPHONE oh my god that could not be more Clint Barton if you tried. I got really emotional at the parts about the baby rabbits and also about Natasha and the dog and Clint's talk with Laura in bed that Natasha overhears. (And is that a hint of OT3 I detect in the Nat/Laura kiss? Hmmmm.)

AND THE TAKE ON LAURA KNOWING NAT AND BEING PART OF HER PAST. That's so different and I've never considered that before and it's SUCH an interesting concept. I love this so much. So so so much.
