Whoo! Can't believe no one has commented yet... I'll have to be brief (a moment's respite before people show up for a dinner for 12...).

Okay, so. Natasha. Unpopular opinion: the arc she was given in Infinity War/Endgame is in character, consistent, and honours who she had become over the MCU movies she was in (we ignore that brucey blip in AoU - never happened). Coming off the red ledger in Avengers, the "who do you want me to be" in TWS, the friend-to-both-sides and linchpin in Civil War, and finally that "we thought we'd stay in touch" and "she's not alone" in IW, Endgame made perfect sense. She found her family, and was determined to do "whatever it takes" to bring back the ones not in the room. By Endgame, everything "goes through [Natasha]".

So, yeah. Heartbreaking? Absolutely. Logical? Yes. Earned? Totally.

None of which will stop me from completing my fix-it - once I get a few moments to myself and stop editing the bits I've already written...
