I'm gonna write some Clintasha for once she said and then wrote more Clint/Nat/Laura.
“Nat’s a bad patient,” Clint had said, “She fights the doctors and won’t take her meds. Normally I can get her to listen, but…” His voice trailed off. He was overseas, Laura’s not even sure where, but Nat had broken her leg and had to be sent home. She’d been dropped off earlier in the morning and was curled in a blanket and pillow pile on the couch.
“I can handle Nat,” Laura said, “You just work on getting home as quickly as possible?”
“Yes ma’am. I love you.”
“Love you too,” Laura said, before hanging up the phone.
She studied Nat, who was blinking at her from her spot on the couch. Her chest warmed. This thing between her, Clint, and Nat was still new and this was the first time she and Nat had been alone together since they’d all confessed their feelings for one another. She’d been hoping for some alone time with Nat, but wished a broken bone hadn’t forced it.
Laura squeezed onto the couch next to Natasha’s head so she could put it in her lap.
“Clint ok?” Natasha asked. The painkillers somehow made her russian accent come out, coloring her words. Laura suppressed a giggle at the sound.
“Yeah, he’s ok. He warned me you’ll be a terrible patient.”
“Mm,” Nat said, “I don’t like medical.”
“But you like me?” Laura teased.
“Yeah,” Nat said, “I trust you.” Her eyes fall closed. “The pain meds make me sleepy.”
“Go to sleep,” Laura said, running her fingers through her hair, “I’ll stay with you.”
