Natasha glanced over at Clint in concern as he yanked his hearing aids out of his ears.

"I think they know I'm a werewolf," Clint muttered, stuffing his aids in a pocket. His voice was so low, Natasha could barely hear him.

"I guess it was unreasonable of us to expect that HYDRA would overlook you shifting into a wolf to slip free of the chains they'd put on you," Natasha signed in reply, hoping a little humor might help him relax, and be less self conscious of his deafness.

Clint snorted in amusement at that, but he didn't relax as much as Natasha had hoped.

"Don't worry, Clint, I've got your back," she signed. "You're safe with me."
