Soooo... Clint/Natasha secret santa fic exchange anyone?
Hello dear bar, here's a question/suggestion, which I'm posting with [livejournal.com profile] workerbee73's blessing. Would you guys like to participate in secret santa - type fic exchange?

Um, I should probably explain a little. I used to run this type of thing in another fandom, and it was tons of fun. Basically, everyone who's willing to participate in the fic exchange signs up and fills out a request form of sorts (it can start with "Dear Santa!"), basically what kind of story you'd like to receive/what kind of story you're willing to write in return. After taking all the requests, they should be matched to writers; the fics written until a certain deadline and then anonymously posted as gifts. After all fics are posted, there's a big reveal :) That's basically how it should work.

So. How many among us are interested? I'm having problems with LJ, and for some reason I can't create a poll, so just raise your hands and I'll do the counting (if you're interested in participation, willing to beta read, willing to help out in organization part if we do this, etc.)

Anyway, if there's interest, I'm totally willing to organize this. Help is always very welcome, of course, also suggestions, ideas .... My experiences with these fic exchanges are good, it's a fun thing to do - so, what do you guys say?

I love fic/creative works exchanges! I will happily participate, though all I can do is write fic.

I prefer to have a lot of time though... like... assignments out in early November and fic due at the end of December type time? If that's possible? I write slowly. I don't know what kind of time frame you were looking at... shorter, longer, whatever. Just thought I'd throw it out there. I'm always jealous of people who can churn out super amazing fic in the span of a few days, but it takes me weeks of hard work to hammer out something mediocre.

Luckily that time of year is relatively slow for me so I can probably work with whatever time frame you come up with. I'm mad busy right now, but by mid-October I'm back to smooth sailing.

Seconding this request! I admit that I wrote ridiculous amounts for the promptathon, but I can't count on that again (and my headspace can be...odd, let's put it.)

So, seconding for sign-ups and plenty of time given.

I too would like a decent amount of time given. I write slowly at the best of times and I always have to work around my thesis.

*nods* Of course! That's one of the reasons why I thought starting this early was a good idea. I'm a slow writer myself :)

Yes, of course! This is precisely the reason for an early start - and I am a slow writer myself. Let's not even talk about headspace and where my mind can go to!

That's what I was thinking! I would love if we could have at least entire November to write.

I thought 800 to 100 wordcount as the minimum required wordcount - does that look okay? I'm a slow writer myself, so. :) Totally udnerstand what you're saying.
