Woo hoo!

Howdy, y'all!

One of the friendly neighborhood mods popping in to say that while it's only been just over two weeks, as of today we're up to 149 members and 180 people watching this comm, which is, quite frankly, awesome. The response has been overwhelming and I know I have personally been enjoying the hell out of all the fics and recs and graphics and icons and discussion and everything that's been posted here. I still have a stack of fic I'm working my way through and it's all just so darn good. Please keep the recs and the posts coming.

Someone mentioned the other day about doing an updated welcome post, since our first one was back when we had a dozen or so members. And a random spammish talking post is always fun, so let's do another. Consider this meet and greet Part 2, and feel free to say hi or bring any questions or discussion or anything fannish to the table. It's great to see all the participation over here. **SLOWCLAP OF APPROVAL**

That's awesome, Bee! I haven't really poked my head in to say hi, but I've definitely been enjoying the steady stream of fic/icons/whatnot popping up on my flist. So hello to everyone here!

(I am working on a bunch of icons though, which should be finished in a couple days (if my Photobucket editor will start cooperating with me))

Do you edit your icons on photobucket? PicMonkey is a good, free editing programme you can use online and then store icons on photobucket or wherever after, if photobucket is giving you issues.

Hi! I had posted a comment on the first welcome post, but I think I was the last person there, lol.
I've been loving all the fic! You guys are great! I am so head over heels for this pairing that I created a Tumblr account just so I could keep up with all the gifs and graphics!

I'm loving this community.I have been on a Clintasha binge for the past 4 days and I've been so impressed by all the fics I've read so far, I keep wanting more and more haha. I'm not a writer nor an artist but I will support the ship and the fans that make it happen :)

Hello everyone! I've been wallowing in blackeye / blackhawk / clintasha / what-have-you fics and tumblr art for the past couple weeks, and I was so happy to stumble across this community! Not only are people posting beautiful fic, they're also recommending excellent stuff from all over teh interwebz; I love it!

I'm excited you like the comm! I know most Avengers stuff gets posted on AO3, but I just wanted a place where it was a little more discussion and hang-out oriented. Like a nice little fannish lounge of awesome. And a lovely place to keep track of all those recs. :D

I haven't been in an active fandom in SO LONG and let me tell you, having fifty billion tabs of Clint/Natasha up all the time is the BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD. So much great fic *__* everyone is so talented *____*

Question though, (and I'm sorry if this has been answered already, I'm still wading back through posts) has anyone done a canon-overview of these two? I'm totally new to comics and have no idea what the full extent of their back story is. (I mean, I don't know anything about their personal histories either, but I'm really curious what their canonical history is together.) Any idea where I might find out about them?

Also, idk if we're allowed to pimp things here (mods, tell me to gtfo if this isn't allowed) but I made a Avengers Team Fic/Domesticity fanwork meme thing here (http://one-kitchen.livejournal.com/1063.html) and Clint/Natasha is totally allowed/encouraged because THEM <3 but yes, anyway. If anyone wants to play.

As far as I know, in comic canon Black Widow started out as a baddie who seduced Hawkeye so she could use him against Iron Man. Things went off and on from there, but I'm pretty sure they haven't been together in the comics for a while. Marvel movieverse seems to take some elements from the comics and then go its own direction. I think their movie relationship is a different beast to the comics. They do have a similar relationship in the Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon.

As long as the pimping relates to Clint/Natasha, it's not only allowed, it's encouraged!

I love this 'ship, this comm and the people on it. So awesome! :D The last time I saw a fandom sprout so quickly was Spock/Uhura when the new Star Trek came out. They've hung on well and given that new Avengers universe movies will be released faster than Star Trek films, I'm feeling pretty good about the long-term success of this one. :D Woo-hoo!

Now if I only could get back into the groove of writing fics myself... Hmmm...

We're so glad you're here! I kind of playing along the edges of Spock/Uhura, so I don't have too much firsthand knowledge, but that seems like a really active fandom-- it'd be awesome to have even a little of that level of activity. :)

Hi!

Um. Well, I went into The Avengers thinking it'd be an interesting movie (it's Joss Whedon!) and a nice way to spend Anzac Day, and it blew me away, and I have been wildly shipping Clint/Natasha since then. I am an avid reader of fic, and have been loving this comm. There is so much pretty.

Unfortunately, my whole "I will actually get study done because there's nothing on TV!" plan has been ruined. By The Avengers. I regret nothing (at least not yet).

I also really need to update my icons.

Howdy! I completely sympathize-- I went in expecting some Joss and a bit of pretty and I walked away with the SHIP THAT ATE MY BRAIN. But omg it has been so much fun. And everyone has been so great here! I've been blown away by the quality of all the fics and fanwork.
