Friday! We made it! So what happens now?  
Greetings, Thou of the Almost-600:

Howdy! :)

Looking for a little input here. I like the idea of having a standing once-a week post at our little corner bar. We started back in the day as Friday being a fic/fanworkds rec post day, then Promptathon happened, then impromptu dance parties and picspams became more of the thing, with the occasional impromptu friending meme thrown in for good measure.

I'm cool with all of the above but I'm wondering what y'all think. First off, do you want some kind of happy Friday post? Should it have a theme? Should it be recs or meta or just an unstructured free for all? Should it contain inspirational quotes and morale-bootsing pics? Should we have guest hosts who can run the show however they want?

I'm cool with whatever, I just want to keep this place happy and fun and full of all the good things. There's enough crap out there to deal with, both on the interwebs and in real life-- so let's keep this our safe/squeeful/awesome/we-are-the-coolest-people-on-the-planet-because-we-say-so zone.

...so with that in mind, what should we do to celebrate Fridays?

Erm, hi. *awkward wave*

This is probably an inappropriate place to say this, but I've been lurking at this promptathon for pretty much as long as it's been going, and I FLIPPING LOVE IT.

There are so many talented writers on here, and the comment threads make me laugh so hard. In fact, you almost made me destroy my laptop by squirting coffee through my nose, that's the scale we're on here.

So you are all a health hazard as well as continual bringers of joy and Renner!porn.

And maybe one day I will come out of the shadows and quit lurking, and who knows? Summon up the courage to post my own fic, but until then, I can safely say that I love you all, anything you choose to do on Fridays will make me happy, and please don't stop.

I can't tell you how tickled I am to read your comment. I do apologize about the coffee snorting, but dadgummit, I'm glad your'e enjoying this crazy place.

And please, should you ever feel the need, please please consider delurking. We're super fun to hang with, and we're pretty nice (albeit rather foul-mouthed). And yes, we can always bring the joy (and Renner!porn).

In the meantime, we shall endeavor to entertain you. :D :D :D

So, after a delightfully effusive welcome, I decided to quit lurking like a creeper and actually sign up to LJ. Yay!

So... yeah. Here I am! And I will do my best to be a good community member like a girl scout or something, actually contribute, and not irritate the rest of the world with cluelessness on how the whole thing actually works.

There. My piece has been said, I have arrived, and I will leave you all in peace until... well, next time.

Welcome welcome!!! Pull up a chair and grab a drink. And don't worry about being clueless when it comes to tech stuff. I still can't post a gif. Does not compute. Don't worry about asking people for help if something doesn't make sense. Most folks are glad to assist, me included. :)

I don't think we have a swearing in ceremony but we should look into that. We definitely need a secret handshake. And a password. You think "DAT ASS" is too obvious? Hmmmm....

I have pulled up my chair and iced my drink, and I'm very much enjoying this bar.

I even ended up posting a fic to fill a prompt. Probably did it wrong though? Just replied to said prompt. Eh, maybe somebody will spot it.

I am clueless.
