Too irresponsible to sign up myself, but if you haven't seen this yet, somebody wrote out recipes to the Avengers mixed drinks (http://media-cache-ec2.pinterest.com/upload/120330621264255782_xPjjE5rb_c.jpg). I think the Hawkeye sounds...um, disgusting. Better to have the real thing. But the Black Widow would be a good drink to have when it's cold and December and we're reading the 56 new stories that will hit this community within like four days of each other.

But it has to be the Best Vodka or Natasha will Not Approve.

*waves hands* I'd love to contribute - meta, creative support group, comment fics or general chaos, I can do it. Maybe not next week, I expect I'll have more work than I usually do, but one of the upcoming Fridays? SURE.

Still stuck on how to balance all the wonderful of All The Things Fridays. Hmm, maybe whoever does the post could start up comment threads for each thing: so, recs, discussion, creations, squee etc, so that might help people who feel overwhelmed trying to search through everything for what they're actually after. Not that that helps the balance though *thinking cap on*.

Drinks recipes? Not my forte, but I have a drinking story, if that helps ;) Went out the other night and asked for a lemonade and a fresh orange. The bar guy filled a glass half-full with lemonade and then reached for the orange. ME: Can I just stop you there? Sorry, I meant two seperate drinks. Please don't orange my fizz.

If I can start the post/moderating after about 5:30pm CST, I'd be happy to. (I can't use LJ at work for the most part, unfortunately.) :D

I've had a pretty up and down week with me running my profs class, including lecturing today (eep!) and also defending my proposal for my thesis. I have two more classes and then it's time to party...well go see Argo with a friend.

Teen and up, Friendship, 9310 words, I would warn for acting without choice/being triggered/past brainwashing, non-fatal violence, and identity questioning, summary: "Freely we choose, and what we have chosen to become stands in judgment over what we may yet hope to be." Also, Clint bakes muffins. The friendship and understanding between Clint, Natasha, and Coulson in this is a thing of beauty, this fic explores the ideas that it considers wonderfully, and there's a depth to everything that I love.

The NIght Circus - Clint/Natasha Style by lar_laughs. PG, 1759 words. A circus AU with the circus in question being the one from a book that I can't praise enough - Erin Morgenstern's The Night Circus. If you're read the book, read this fic. If you haven't read the book, read this fic, then the book, then this fic again. (I should probably point out that this was written for me, but this isn't a case of 'wow, someone took the time and effort to create something for me, I love it'. This is definitely a case of 'oh my gosh, this is amazing, AND it's for ME *flail*'.)

Bolshoi by helishdreams on AO3. Rated Gen, Clint/Natasha, 3576 words, summary: Natasha adopts a cat, then has to move into the Avengers tower. Chaos ensues. Read the summary, now listen when I say that this is just as good as you think it's going to be :)

I'm alive and I'm free (who wouldn't want to be me?) by Tvlop on AO3 (our dictator_duck). Rated G, Clint/Natasha, 2698 words, warning for 'surprising serious', summary: Basically, this is a reverse-chronological character study about Clint Barton the ex-budgie and his feelings about food & community. Alternative title: Food Is Tasty And So Are Friends (Metaphorically). I don't know, I just really like this. I want to feed it and hug it and be kind to budgies.

I've Suffered Shipwrecks by paperclipbitch on AO3. Mature, multiple pairings, 29018 words, summary Most people, when they break up, sort through their record collections, possibly chuck each other’s clothes onto the sidewalk, engage in soul-destroying coffee dates where they try to sort through the emotional debris, and then leave each other the fuck alone. Clint and Natasha were never very good at acting like normal people, though, which is why they run a cafe together. This is not actually Clint/Natasha, but there is past Clint/Natasha and if you can past the pairings - which this AU did actually make me believe could happen in this 'verse - then there is fantastic banter between everyone, the best kind of friendship, and Clint and Natasha are co-dependent to a hilarious, sweet, dangerous, and all the best things about them degree.

And, y'know what, I am a lying liar who lies, because I'm not going to end with a recent read :P I'm going to end with a promptathon favourite that never fails to make me laugh, because it's always good to leave smiling:

So. Fucking. Good. A brilliant AU with Clint and Natasha in a children's home. Despite not being superspies and assassins, they are still so fundamentally them, it's utterly glorious. Bruce is also wonderful in this.
