FIC: "Going to Ground" (Clint/Natasha, Rated M -- some angst)
... my first time to try post a story to this site.  I have no idea what I'm doing posting to LiveJournal, so bear with me.  It's a dry run for the little offering I plan to stick under the tree for the Santa Exchange (having joined a day too late to actually participate in the exchange, assuming I could have figured out how).

Anyway, here's my story -- I have a feeling that there's a Holy Trinity of Clint/Natasha fic writing:  How They Met, Budapest and After New York.  Well, I started with the latter (surprised there isn't a tag for that!  :-) ).  I'm big on post-canon stuff in my other fandom (plus I have a feeling we may yet get a movie that will deal with the first two, and I SO hate to go A/U, even retroactively ....)

The thing is called "Going to Ground".  Actually some of you folks have read it already -- I recognize a lot of names!  If you haven't -- hope you enjoy.  ConCrit always welcome.

Welcome to the bar! *twirls you* Sounds good, adding this to my reading list, and will look forward to your winter offering :D No worries if you missed joining up for the actual exchance, we take all wintery wonderfulness!

Pssst, it's the fanwork:immediate fall-out tag. Admitedly not our clearest tag ever, sorry :S

On posting to livejournal, people generally put the title of the fic, the author - so you, the rating and any warnings/triggers (so people know not to go near it if it's going to hurt them), a summary, and maybe an author note. You can add other things, like the pairing, characters, recipient if it's for an exchange, it depends. But that's generally how it goes. It's not really an issue if you're linking to it on another site, because places like AO3 and ff.net have that information anyway, but it can advertise your fic a bit. It's more important if you're linking to somewhere that just has your fic and none of that information. But yeah, hope that helps! You have most of that info anyway :) (Although you friends-locked it to comm members only, if you didn't mean to do that.)

THANKS! :-)
That was soooooo helpful, thanks! What a nice welcome (and useful tips). I'm a total putz when it comes to technology; I started out carving things into a wax tablet and have only recently graduated to papyrus. I'm still terribly impressed with myself that I managed to upload a picture to the site.

And I'll be sure to post my Santa gift to that obscure little tag thing (which I've just looked at -- some interesting stuff there!!!)

Thanks and cheers,

AF

Re: THANKS! :-)
Glad it was useful :) I'm a total putz when it comes to technology; I started out carving things into a wax tablet and have only recently graduated to papyrus. Heehee, well hopefully typing should be faster than carving at least! Here's a link to a liverjournal html guide if you get stuck on that side of things and feel free to ask anyone around here for help on things - it's a good bar, no one bites. Unless asked ;)

The fanwork tags were an aim at organisation, but you might also find fics relevant to Post New York under fic recs and the friday tags - like 'all the things friday'. We aim for organised and end up getting carried away with recs everywhere, heh. Enjoy!
