Fic: The Woman in the Crosshairs

Spoilers: All the movies, I guess, plus the Iron Man 3 trailer, sort of.
Type: Really long one-shot, complete
Word Count: 12,182 words
Summary: In which Clint has a new hobby and Natasha isn't curious, until she is. Black Widow and Hawkeye, their partnership—and what it means—throughout the years.

This is my first attempt to try writing overt Clint/Natasha romance, and of course it ran over 10,000 words as I tried to fit everything in. People have assured me it’s sweet and funny. It covers from beginning days of SHIELD to about a year after the Chitauri attack. Natasha tries to come to terms with everything. Sometimes she's even successful!

Hey, do you mind clarifying what you mean by 'spacetoasteriest'? It's not a term I've ever come across, and so I have no idea what you are warning for.

Oh, sorry, that was more of a tongue in cheek warning and not anything serious like rape or dubcon. There's a great post here (http://thefourthvine.livejournal.com/165943.html) where thefourthvine defines what a spacetoaster is. The "tl;dr" version is that a spacetoaster a person who is uncomfortable/dysfunctional with emotions.

You might want to try avoiding the implication that people who have difficulty with emotions are machines and/or aliens. It's an implication often used to emotionally manipulate, abuse, and oppress people with developmental disorders like autism (which I have).

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to imply that Natasha is an alien or a robot, and I really am sorry if it came across that way. I'll remove the word "spacetoaster" from the warning. I genuinely hadn't realized that the word could be used that way.

Ah, I see. I tend to use the warnings on fics more seriously, and I do have to admit that as someone who has an anxiety disorder, I'm more than a little uncomfortable that there is a slang around that likens my issues with emotions to a toaster.

But thank you for your clarification.

I'm sorry. I didn't realize that the word "spacetoaster" could be offensive, otherwise I promise you, I wouldn't have used it. I've removed it from the original post and will keep my warnings serious from now on. I feel awful that I've made people uncomfortable with it. My deepest apologies.
