As you guys were helpful for cheerleading on my de-aged Nat fic, here is another WiP of mine. It's the obligatory Budapest!fic, and I'm planning on writing it when I'm stuck with the upcoming chapters of de-aged Nat so I actually, uh, get it done. Hopefully. Inspiration is taken from the idea that MCU is totally the kind of world where things involving Mad Science like Jurassic Park would actually take place, and so "you and I remember Budapest very differently" means dinosaurs. But I've been having trouble with audience expectations on the tone (mostly serious-ish with snark and some black humour - much like JP itself, really), and just generally being uninspired and unsure about how interested people would be. So, here is about 1000 from the start to see what people think. Contains POV death of an OC.

Summary: Unfortunately, pop music was inherent to the culture and they were subjected to it, again, and again, and again. By proxy, due to Natasha’s temperament and Steve’s insatiable curiosity, their teammates were also subjected to their reactions to it. Again, and again, and again.

I had this line in my head while I commuted today and it's a light day at work, apologies for the spammage. I don't particularly like sharing prose and poetry, I tend to get too caught up in prettiness to keep pulling a theme or making it concrete. I tried with this one, so for better or for worse...here's a first person POV (Clint)'s prosaic history of him and Natasha, from beginning to...now, because I refuse to say "beginning to end" for these two.

A note about AO3 posting archiving:

We are working on an AO3 collection, but it's NOT ready yet. When/if you go to post your work on AO3, you may find a collection listed as "Be Compromised's Secret Santa Exchange" please DO NOT select this collection. If you do, your work will show up on the archive as "Anonymous". That's meant to be the master collection, and we're having a bit of trouble getting the specific 2012 collection set up correctly. I've got a help ticket in with the site to try and get it worked out, and will let everyone know when it's up and running and we'll go from there.

You can go ahead and post your work there, you'll just need to go back in and edit the collection information later. Also, most everyone here is on AO3, and you can indicate when you post who a work is "gifted" to - if you have any questions about setting that up, please comment here and we'll try to help you out.

If you aren't sure how your giftee is listed on AO3, your best bet is probably to PM them here on LJ and see if they have an account there or a preference as to how they're listed.
